June 10, 200422 yr Off topic but I rode a ride at Cedar Point named vertigo and I know what that means. What does Invertigo mean? There is no coaster at CP named Vertigo It wasn't a coaster. It was a charged flat ride put up in 2001 and it was torn up before 2002 season because one of the 3 supports fell over. It shot you up 300 feet (similar to slingshot) but it just had a different people-holder (I'm having a memory lapse right now). There's a picture.
June 10, 200422 yr Just because a company goes bankrupt doesn't mean it is gone. It just gives protection until they can come up with an approved plan to start making a profit again. If bankruptcy meant the company was gone you wouldn't have United Airlines or US Airways anymore and those are two of the biggest airlines in the United States.
June 10, 200422 yr Hey 120 here are some more pics of VERTIGO here is a brief descriptiopn of the ride Sorry to get of topic but I thought you would like to see some pictures of a lost ride. Sorry I don't know why the links didn't work but if you go to CP photos then scroll down to lost rides you will see vertigo, click it. There will be photos of the ride. If you want the desciption of what happened scroll all the way down and click on " return to vertigo"
June 24, 200422 yr there's a new updated version i think from S&S i believe, here at GAdv it's called Eruption and it does the same thing, but the seats tilt forward, one heck of a ride.
June 24, 200422 yr Hey teenageninja, I have a question. Doesnt PKI already have a non looping steel in Topgun, or is that a suspended steel, not steel? Whats the difference?
June 24, 200422 yr I can answer this for you. Top Gun is considered a suspended coaster, non-looping. Vekoma coasters like Face/Off are considered suspended looping coasters.
