LoraX
Thank you for the input from some of you regarding both Cedar Point and specifically some of the coasters. It helped tremendously. My neighbors Kamara, Angel and Ash went with Princess Sparkles and I to the point. Kamara had been there a few times, Angel had not been in many years and Ash had never gone. I told them what my goals were for the day: ride TTD and front row of Maverick. Anything beyond that would just be bonus. Our first stop was to see #Jonathan. Apparently #Jonathan needs to be wiped down from time to time. The park was moderately busy. I expected crowds to be heavier through out the day. I am not going over each detail of the day. I can say we rode all but one coaster at the park. The one we did not ride was Iron Dragon. They had shut it down due to weather coming in late in the day. It was the bottom of our must ride list. First ride was TTD. Princess Sparkles and I decided we want to ride front row. I loved Kingda Ka and have been told TTD was better. I was skeptical. TTD is by far better than Kingda Ka. Love the restraints, speed and entire feel of the coaster itself. Kamara and Angel (Ash too) going two trains before us. We took a ride on Cedar Downs. I really enjoyed that. During Coastermania it was down so we didn't get to ride it. Princess Sparkles and Ash on Blue Streak. Gatekeeper - The trains kept stacking as bad as Diamondback. Princess Sparkles and I rode back row and it was probably the best seat I have sat in on this one. I am still not a huge fan of it, but it is tolerable. We also had the opportunity to ride front row on Maverick. It made the coaster very good. I could potentially love this one. I really like the theming or feel of the area on this one. I can say I probably had my favorite day that I have had at Cedar Point on Labor Day. It had nothing to really do with the park though. I had a great time with my friends. I personally think the entire experience with any amusement park goes far beyond ride offerings. It is everything from the employees to the cleanliness to rides, themes, etc. The biggest disappointment is the employees were not nice. They seemed to hate being there. Very few smiles or even eye contact. There are only two employees at the park that left a positive impression. One was Anthony who works in food service and the young man at Mantis. My friends were more disappointed than I was in how the employees were acting. I get it is nearing the end of the season, but you are paid to do your job. Do it well. We tried to find this young man at the park, but he was no where to be found. Spiels. I have heard how phenomenal the spiels are. Only one was anything different at any other amusement park we have been to. It was the gal at Blue Streak. "You go up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down a total of 9 times!" She showed enthusiasm at least. Gatekeeper and TTD crews were moving very sloth like. I saw Gatekeeper stack 3 deep consistently. TTD was as bad with stacking. It was not a terribly long line, but we waited 1.5 hours. I would like to blame it due to us wanting row 1, but my friends went 2 trains in front of us. The park was also dirty. I saw very few people out sweeping or picking up trash. I know so many that rave about Cedar Point, but I have yet been able to see why aside from having a large number of roller coasters.

Hoeter
I rode Maverick in the front row when I was up there during CoasterMania! Thinking about heading back up with the girlfriend here in a few weeks, and planning on finally riding Dragster...
