Skylab
Well, it's that time in my life where I have to choose some type of career. Yay college. I really want to do something in the park industry, specifically ride maintenance or something along those lines, since I like to build and repair things. Does anyone have any information or advice on how to get involved in this? College courses I should take or anything of that nature? Any help would be appreciated. Dan
Building: If you want to get in a career of building rides, you'll most likely have to know someone to get hired in that company. If you Click Here you can find a story of a guy who got hired by Arrow Dynamics because he already knew someone who worked for the company. If you go Here then all of your questions can be answered if you would like to design amusement rides. Maintenance: This was the best site I could find for this career. If you want t find out more info, I'm sure that you could go to the park sometime and just try to talk shop with one of the maintenance men and they could give you the best answers to your questions. I don't know if they would really want to talk to you, since they still have a job to do, but it would be worth a shot.
italianchef
Dan, You never cease to amaze me because you are a great resource of knowledge. At your age all I knew about theme parks was that I visited and liked Great Adventure (NJ) and Astroland (NY). Happy New Year!
