PKI Punk
I decided to visit the park today dispite the freezing, rainy weather. I arrived at the park at about 9:45 for Gold Pass early rides in Coney Mall. First off, I would love to commend the FOF crew for an excellent job today. MUCH BETTER than last week. The only ride I ride during this time was FOF, but I rode it twice. FOF was awesome during this time b/c EVERY light was off in the ride building...it was awesome. After my second ride, the park was open and I decided to make my way over to The Beast (the BEST ride in the park!) Come to find out that The Beast was not running right away, I decided to ride TR:TR. Here is where the title of my TR comes into play. My first ride was ok and everything went smoothly. I decided to go against my gut feeling and ride TR:TR again...BIG MISTAKE. We get to the final top spin in the ride and guess what happens...the ride goes spinning out of control!!! I, being a PKI Punk was pumped up...this was the second time that TR:TR broke down while I was riding it. The break down would have been awesome, but I had the dumbest, loudest group of people sitting next to me. There was a woman who come down on the floor on front of the ride and asked everyone if they were OK, the people next to me went crazy when the lady said this saying..."D@MN, I want off now!" and "We better get free tickets or something." The woman, upon hearing this was like..."What did you say? I wasn't listening." It was hilarious. But any way, they mechanics brought over a ladder and let ever off the ride by way of the floor below TR:TR. Upon getting off, there was a woman who was giving everyone exit passes for the day. I thought it was pretty generous of PKI, b/c I was not expecting anything. Well anyway, after being on TR:TR for 45min (not too bad) I finally made my way over to Beast. I love this ride on got to ride it 4 times in a row. (I was going to ride it more, but I was FREEZING!) I wanted to ride Vortex, but I had heard that it was too cold to operate. So I decided to use my exit pass and ride FOF. Good ride, but the lights were back on in the building...(now I am spoiled, it is awesome when the lights are off) I figured I would end the day w/ Delirium. When I got over to it, they were only testing it. It hadn't open yet, so I decided to wait. I was on the first ride of Delirium for the day. While on Delirium, I had noticed that SOB was running w/ hadly anyone on the ride. I stupidly decide to ride SOB. 2;2. Surprisingly not a bad ride. My most smooth ride of the season. I decided to end my day w/ that. A few points though... 1. Thumbs up to the FOF crew. 2. TR:TR is a piece of crap! 3. SOB wasn't that bad. Maple Leaf
All you do is get a few extra spins and then eventually you start to sway back and forth until it stops. It is actually pretty cool. You get a few more spins in (1 or 2 at the most).
Tanner
Oh my God! The ride broke down! It must be a piece of crap. I've been stuck on several rides and never once have I said it was a piece of crap, at least you got something out of it. Out of the times I've been stuck on Beast, Top Gun, Face/Off, and I've even been stuck on Tomb Raider for almost forty five minutes I didn't receive any type of compensation. At least you were in the warmth.
0-120
It's almost like getting stuck for a little while on The Beast is part of the ride now. Whenever I don't slow down to a snail's pace or stop completely it's always a shocker.
PKI Punk
What exactly happened when TR TR broke down. Well, it was crazy. The ride got about half way through the final top spin when the gondola locked in position and the ride just swung back and forth like a swing. When the ride stopped at the bottom, we were angled at about a 50 degree angle foward. I really don't think we would have gotten anything, but the people next to me we crying about being stuck and them spending money and the park "wasting their time." The very first time I got stuck on TR:TR, I didn't get anything, so I figured I wouldn't get anything this time, but I was wrong. What I thought was funny was that the crazy group of people acted like the park was not doing anything about getting us off the ride. I knew the park was doing everything in its power to get us off. I forget to thank the park, the ride crew, and the maintenance staff for getting us safely off TR:TR in my TR. Everyone who was involved did an excellent job(no matter what some group of people were saying). All you do is get a few extra spins and then eventually you start to sway back and forth until it stops. It is actually pretty cool. You get a few more spins in (1 or 2 at the most). Not this time! We didn't do any extra flips.

DeliriumDreamer
If you came back to Delirium at around 4:00 pm, you would have seen Shaina (aka: Kat Marie) and myself working there.
