No doubt the townships in Michigan will look at the activity in these allegations as they continue to pressure Michigan's Adventure to tap onto the public sewer. Well, I hope it's handled fairly and equitably, and that it's examined with critical thinking upon a balanced presentation of the facts. I'd hate for this to be rooted in some surreptitious purpose beyond the protection of the environment. I really would. I really, really would. My goodness, but we had the same thought. It seems the modern wave of thinking is "If someone smiles, quash it." If these disposal actions are going on, and the water is being polluted, fine, it's fair. But are other companies along that river also being included? The Miami river, Great and Little, is recipient to a lot of goop from Dayton, but yet, it was only the DPL building that got targeted. I would just hope that the desired outcome of a civil suit against an organization would be for the implementation of solutions, rather than punitive fines that wind up filtering their way through the pocketscape that is bureaucracy. "The Court hereby orders you to install a Magellan X3000L treatment system on all six of your outflow stations, at your expense, to be monitored by such and such agency to ensure compliance, upon your commercial liability etc. etc. etc. and establish a specific trust, funded by you, solely for the reclamation and restoration of lands harmed by the similiter in proposito ..." 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
