Is there any reason why KI couldn't reintroduce the skyrides? They still have them at CP and at Six Flags. I would think they would be relatively cheap and easy to install and people seem to love them. Anybody know why KI got rid of them in the first place and if there has ever been talk about bringing them back?

The company that made the ones at Cedar Point and Kings Island (moved from Coney Island) no longer makes the rides.....in fact got out of that business in the early 2000s it looks like.

I believe this is part of the reason the park got rid of them: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/29293-sky-ride-accident-anniversary-42477/?p=610429

Well, plenty of parks are still running them. They have to get their parts from somewhere. I thought they were awesome to get from one area of the park to another and get scenery on the way.

Getting parts and erecting a new set are completely different things.

See Arrow Suspended Coasters i.e. The Bat.....Arrow is out of business but parts are still available thanks to S&S.
