malem
EPR Properties, a REIT that invests in entertainment & recreation centers, has acquired the assets of CNL Lifestyle Properties. Notably, Darien Lake & Wet n Wild Palm Springs (formerly owned by Cedar Fair as Knott's Soak City Palm Springs) are included in the acquisition. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/news/2016/11/darien_lake_sold_western_ny_location_included_in_theme_park_deal_report_says.html SEC Filing: http://www.getfilings.com/sec-filings/161103/EPR-PROPERTIES_8-K/

CoastersRZ
Just to clarify, Darien Lake was not previously owned by Cedar Fair. Just the Wet n Wild Palm Springs was. I have visited Darien Lake, which for a time, was managed by Herschend Family Entertainment (the owners of Newport Aquariuam, Silver Dollar City and part owners of Dollywood). The park is a smaller park, and had a couple of nice rides. We visited it in 2015 on our way to Niagara Falls and Canada`s Wonderland. My wife and I really enjoyed the Zamperla made Moto Coaster. We made it through the park in like three or four hours. Worth a visit, but unless they were to add another big new ride, we would not make a visit there again.
homestar92
They have a big ride lying in pieces in a field across the street from the park. Whether it is in any easily maintainable condition, that may be another story...
VekomaRulz
Maybe it was Batman The Escape from Astroworld that also at Great Adventure and Magic Mountain before that.

(sorry i enjoy poking fun at this situation)
homestar92
Maybe it was Batman The Escape from Astroworld that also at Great Adventure and Magic Mountain before that. That's precisely what it is. It's not hidden very well at all. Anyone who knows where to look can spot it clear as day from the road.
