At Coney Island’s Fire Up The Night International Fireworks Competition

 

Cincinnati, OH -- For the first time ever, the ‘Best-of-the-Best’ descend upon Coney Island Saturday, September 23 for an international fireworks show-down that promises to blaze the skies and shake the banks of the Ohio River.

 

Coney Island announced today that the participants in this year’s Fire Up The Night international fireworks competition – Portugal, Greece and Japan – will return to Coney Island to go head-to-head with one another for international bragging rights. Each team is a past winner of Coney’s Fire Up the Night competition, which began in 2011. Portugal won the competition in 2013, Japan in 2014 and Greece in 2016.

 

Following the international competition, Cincinnati’s acclaimed Rozzi Famous Fireworks will fire up the night in a thundering fireworks’ finale. Rozzi is also the event producer.

 

Fire Up The Night, sponsored by Dr. Pepper, is the only international fireworks’ competition in the United States. The event has become an end-of-summer fan favorite throughout the Midwest.

Admission for Fire Up The Night is $25 per carload at the gate and on-line. Admission includes parking, Coney’s great rides and attractions, entry to the world’s largest “empty-pool” party and live stage entertainment and more.
