I grew up in Cincinnati and had been a Gold Pass holder for years. Two years ago, I moved to Florida and started working at Disney World (where I met my boyfriend). I want to bring him to visit home, and of course that means going to Kings Island! Now, I'm trying to pinpoint exactly when to go. He really likes Halloween so I would like to go during Halloween Haunt. I've been trying to do my research and figure out when to go, but I can't remember the lines and how long they normally are during the Haunt. Since KI is open from 11 AM to 1 AM on Saturdays, I was originally planning to going then. However, I was curious as to how long the lines normally are for rides on Saturday during the day in October and during the Haunt. We want to get the most out of our experience since I haven't been in years!

Also, has anyone done the "no boo" necklace during the Haunt? Do you have any feed back on those? My boyfriend loves to be scared, but I do not.

Thank you so much! (:

Just watch for the 2nd Saturday, as it is a buy out day (Toyota, as I recall).

Not sure what Fright Lane runs, for Fast Lane / Fast Lane Plus will run $75 / $90.  However, if you want to ride everything and it looks like Mother Nature is cooperating, then it is worth it.  Saturdays can be pretty packed.

They may have some deals for parking / tickets / FLP / meals.  I checked the website and it does not have any listed yet, but I am sure that they will.

As for the No Boo, I have not used them.  I would not say I was scared, but did get startled sometimes (often my fault as I was checking my phone and did not see them).

Anyways, have fun and welcome to KIC

The most recent visit I had was the Sunday right before the first day of school in the Cincy area. To give you an idea of the park attendance that day, we spent the early part of the day in the kids rides, and walked on most everything there, and then around 1 or 2 pm, I decided I wanted to ditch the wife and kids for a minute to go catch some coasters. I waited 20 minutes to ride Mystic Timbers, walked on Vortex for a front seat ride, got off Vortex, walked right back on for a mid train ride, rode it through 3 times in the middle of the train, got off, walked on WindSeeker, got off, walked right back onto Vortex. After about noon, the place was a ghost town... almost to the point of feeling creepy walking around. I've always wanted to be able to tour the park after hours when no one was there, and this was literally as close as I've ever been to it. Coney Mall was empty!!
