There is not a designated area for them, people just kick them off by the fence. Never had an issue with anyone taking our $5 Walmart flip flops. This is fairly standard policy as I have never been to a waterpark that allows shoes on slides. In fact on one of the slides no jewelry is allowed on including wedding rings and piercings.
