January 21, 200422 yr I don`t think that PKI would install a casino as they only apply to the 21+ crowd. PKI, especially of late, has been going for the families, which aren`t exactlythe people that will flock to casinos. Secondly, I don`t think Ohio will legalize casinos anytime soon.
January 21, 200422 yr Putting a Casino in PKI would be like parking your car on top of your garage. I don't think it would work well. Who knows? It could not work at all. I just don't think a casino would fit well at a family movie park.
January 21, 200422 yr I just can't think of anything witty to say... just sounds like a bad mix to me. We already have over crowding in the parking lot on busy days. A busy plus a busy casino.... Holy Good.
January 21, 200422 yr For some strange reason I just don't think that a casino would help its appearance as a family park. I don't know... might just be some of the aspects of gambling that accompany gambling and casinos. I doubt Ohio will be legalizing gambling anytime in the future, and if they ever did I would never want a casino at the park. Put it downtown, or a place that needs revitalization. Keep it away from PKI and its image. If you want to gamble, go to Indiana, or if you're only 19, go to Windsor.
January 21, 200422 yr I HIGHLY doubt that PKI will get a casino. First of all, as many have said, it's not geared towards family. Second of all, I think if PKI is going to spend some money on something they will spend it on rides and upkeep in the park.
January 21, 200422 yr No. Here's why: 1) Casino gambling is explicitly illegal in Ohio, and the many attemps to change that have failed miserably. 2) Theme park and casinos just don't mix, I think. Not in the midwest, at least. Maybe in Las Vegas. 3) It does not mix with the park's image, the one it wants to maintain at least. It advertises itself as a very family-friendly place for all the suburban moms to take their kids, not as much as a place for an ACER or something like that. 4) Where would they put the thing? 5) The park would become overcrowded - not to mentioned likely filled with smokers and drinkers, which many people don't like.
January 23, 200422 yr I wouldn't mind a casino, so long as it was separate from the park with separate admission.
January 23, 200422 yr I live in Ky so I am a little unsure of one thing.... Is ohio moving towards making casinos legal? If they became illegal I would be totally against having a casino at this park. I wouldnt be surprised if a Paramount Casino popped up somewhere close to the park, but with the park having its parking limited on really busy days (which happen alot), i just cant see them putting their Amusement park guests through the hassle of more people. Steve
January 23, 200422 yr ...separate from the park with separate admission. Casino's with admission??? Every place I go... to donate money to the local schools by playing some games for money... its free to get in.
January 30, 200422 yr I'm not old enough, so I don't really care. But if I was old enough, I would like to have a casino. As long as they put in a Texas Holdem' booth.
January 30, 200422 yr Having a Casino at PKI is a bad idea. The people at Kings Island should know this from Coney Island having a Casino and race track in the 20s. They got in trouble with the law and made them take it out. Plus to many kids would go in and thats good for the park image.
January 31, 200422 yr Plus to many kids would go in and thats good for the park image. Wait, don't you mean thats not good for the park image?
