BoddaH1994
Not only will Carowinds be open weekends between Haunt and Winterfest, but they will also be hosting the Peanuts Celebration that was popular around the chain last year. Benjamin22
I’m just jealous about the Winterfest parade, I don’t know how popular Kings Island would be during November, but it’d guess not very. I’d like to see the Peanuts celebration thing Carowinds is hosting to occur during the Spring time.
malem
Six Flags Great America has a fall festival in November, though it's common for the park to close for the inclement weather Chicago is known for at that time of the year. It would be cool to see Kings Island get a Novemberfest, though staffing the park would be a gamble with Ohio's weather. It would also mean fewer days to prepare the park for Winterfest. Rivertown Rider
I think the park would be smart to do a Fall Fest as well. Doing Peanuts Celebration in Planet Snoopy and doing something like Dollywood and SDC's Bluegrass and BBQ festival with craft vendors in the other areas of the park. It would also allow them to keep some of the seasonal employees employed an extra couple weeks.

Carowinds is not only adding the weekends, but adding a whole other celebration. This is an initiative that no one in their right mind would take on who is in operations. It HAS to be either handed down from corporate or at least pressure put on. Remember years ago how I told you that a wise man once said that Winterfest would never be off the table because there is always eventually going to be someone in leadership who sees the parks sitting through the offseason and wonders how they can make money through that time. This has been manifested. Next - November.
befat
Carowinds also opens for spring break. They are getting pretty close to a year round operation.
