sheeyela93
Hello, I'm visiting the park this weekend and I wanted to see what rides are plus size friendly? I knew this day was coming and I've lost 70 lbs, but I don't know if it's enough.. I'm female, 5'6", 270 lbs. I carry most of my weight in my chest and stomach. I wear a size 18-20 in jeans for reference. I have smaller legs/hips. My 6 year old is 49 inches tall so she'll get to ride some big coasters! I'm thinking things like Adventure Express, Mystic Timbers, Racers, The Bat, Woodstock, Backlot Stunt Coaster? Honestly, I don't want to go and disappoint her nor the embarrassment. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. *I added a picture for reference if it helps in any way. BeeastFarmer
There are some other threads with this subject, you might be directed there. But here is my two cents: Of the above coasters you mentioned, Adventure Express and The Bat are generally fluffy friendly. Racer should be too, except for the front row. It does not have extra leg room needed to cross your legs. Mystic Timbers only needs one click and it's easiest to get that in the middle of the train to the front. Woodstock Express may be difficult to sit together but should be manageable if you sit in different rows. Backlot Stunt Coaster is fairly easy as well. If you want to ride the other coasters that she does not meet the height requirements on: Banshee has plus sized rows, I think 4 and 5. Diamondback and Orion have test seats and generally fluff friendly. The Beast is the same as The Racer--avoid the front row. If you do not fit in a ride, realize that most people are not going to be critical. The ones that are, I would consider jerks. You have the courage to try, which is what matters. I have had to walk off of Drop Tower twice...it is not welcoming of tall people! There are only a couple of seats that will fit me in, and it is so uncomfortable. But there was no shame, I waited for my party and we had an enjoyable rest of the day. Congratulations of your weight loss journey so far. I hope you have a great time this weekend!
