PkiJake13
http://www.canadas-wonderland.com/attractions_water.jsp It looks like Paramount was really pleased with Tazmainian Typhoon. It looks like PCW'S Splash Works is getting one for next year,it's called Baracuda Blaster. That means PCW is getting IJ:ST and this for next year. -Jake
docdude316
There's is going to go into the lazy river. I wish ours did that, but I can see it being a problem getting the tubes from Taz seperate from the lazy river tubes. Also, I'd like to see how they are going to make sure the people from Baracuda Blaster don't crash into the others in the lazy river. The-Snapper
They dont have one people its just the pic. Its just cheeper for Paramount to put a pic of taz instead of gettin a pic of Baracudda. They dont have one trust me and if it was new then they would have it with IJST on the New for 2005 page.
Screwball
Trust me we are not getting a Tornado at PCW. We already have a funnell slide, it's completely horizontal unlike Tazzy. I already talked about this in this thread. Click
docdude316
Well that's misleading. I'll still check it out if I go to PCW though. I want to make the trip this year, but I don't know if it'll be possible.
DA RIPPER
The guards had trouble with the tubes at Boomerang Bay this year keeping them inflated. Does your taz bust your tail bone after you come out of the tube into the funnel and hit the water running along the bottom of the funnel? I think one person broke their tail bone on ours. flightoffear1996
I only rode it once and I never heard anyone complaining about that.
DA RIPPER
I rode it a lot last season , The trick is to keep your weight on your elbows and not sit all the way down in the tube. If you didn't owwwwwww. instant speed bump on the rear. but it's a fun ride if you got the right people on it. I first rode it on VIP preveiw day and you would go higher on the wall of the funnel than later in the season, I guess from the calcium buildup on the walls slowed you down. familyman
I’m a big guy and never noticed any problems. It did take my breath away when you entered the bowl.
Fo-Shame
That water speed bump does different things to different loads. I've ridden it mostly with a lot of other skinny people and you'll about fly off the tube. Just ask Dan. Other tubes with more weight may just rip through or over it without really noticing. Think of a normal speed bump in a parking lot. When you go really slow over it (ie the skinny people in the tube) you notice the height difference the bouncing of the car as you go over. But if you go REALLY fast (not recommended for shorter cars) you really just don't notice it as much as your shocks will take up most of the force when its at high speed though not recommended cause it can do damage to your car and wear out the shocks faster. DA RIPPER
One time we had four guys, one was 257lbs two was 230lb and I was the fly weight at 205lb, we went down the hill in the funnel went up the first side I could reach out and touch the pipe where the water come's out . when we came off the oppisite side and to the bottom the water speed bump just about cause a train wreck, it stop us dead. Your right skinny people don't stop as fast they glide over the bump. our tube was a low rider that day.
