italianchef
One of the reasons I fell madly in love with Paramount's Kings Island is Hanna-Barbera Land and its characters that I grew up with in the 1970s and early 1980s. Therefore, I was greatly disappointed when all but Scooby Doo were banished from the park as of the 2003 season. Yes, I know that Nickelodeon is far more popular than Hanna-Barbera these days, but I love what I love and I intend to expose my (yet-to-be-born) child to as much Hanna-Barbera as possible. What do you think is in store for the future of Hanna-Barbera Land and its characters at PKI and the other Paramount parks? Do you see their days as numbered or just a temporary dip in interest? Please share your valuable opinions. Have a magnificent day! Italian Chef :chef:
fleegle
I'm gonna second the Italian Chef... I too was a small child when Kings Island opened and vividly remember the Fantastic Voyage and all the great characters throughout. The boatride was a welcome relief from a hot summer day and seeing the Banana Splits (besides Scooby, they were my favorites) in Hanna Barbera Land was a something I'll never forget... Dan
I'm not into cartoons much, but I prefer Hanna-Barbera over Nick anytime. I think that HB can appeal to some adults along with kids, but Nick only appeals to kids. Personally, I think it is a shame that PKI only has Scooby walking around the park. If it was my choice, I would bring back the Hanna-Barbera characters, but it seems unlikely that PKI will ever bring back the HB characters. I think that soon, PKI and the other Paramount Parks will shun out the Hanna-Barbera characters until they are completely gone. I think that Scooby will be the only HB character left until the interest in him is finally gone with kids.
DanielRadsgrl
Well in my opinion or at least i hope everyone on this site are either teenagers or adults and Hanna barbera land or Nickolodean Centrel is for kids and I think the kids like Nick and not that the adults like. In my opinion SPONGEBOB ALL THE WAY. I have Spongeboib socks pj pants pillow and boxers lol so SB is the best.
JIMMY JAMZ
Well I grew up on Hanna Barbera And I Still love the Flintstones. I would love for PKI to bring back all the old costumed characters. Chances are they won't. Although Sponge Bob is Really Cool.
italianchef
True but I'd rather hear "Yabba dabba doo" than "I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready." SpongeBob is a Nickelodeon wimp and even Hanna-Barbera lightweight Snagglepus can tan his porous hide.

I think the cartoon is just annoying.
The Interpreter
A poll...relevant then, interesting now... And the majority then was not correct...HB was removed in the nick of time, and now is leaving for theming that can be had for relative peanuts. Jasper
Very interesting find Terpy, this poll is kind of funny now if you think about it. 6 years ago who would have ever thought of all the changes that would take place in Hanna-Barbera Land?
