kingsislandfan1972 Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Ok who remembers the first few years when Boo Blasters took over Scooby-Doo in the 2010s those awful Boo Blaster glasses? I never actually saw the point in them considering the 3-D effect never actually worked! (Well at least for me it never did) I actually had some old ones a few years back when I was cleaning out my house, but who remembers them? 2 Quote
Joshua Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Interesting. For me, there's a huge gap between Phantom Theater and finally riding Boo Blasters. So I never knew it was supposed to involve 3D glasses. Were they going for a William Castle/13 Ghosts/ "Put on the glasses and you'll see the ghosts" vibe? 1 Quote

Honestly I'm not sure what part of the ride was supposed to be 3-D. It just made me dizzy and kind of made the glasses worthless. 1 Quote

I remember one year in the '90s, NBC aired a lineup of 3D episodes for some of their sitcoms (including 3rd Rock From the Sun) where you had to buy a case of pop to get the glasses. Not only did the effect not work, but it gave me such a headache. 1 Quote
