Six Flags is bringing Holiday in the Park back to two of its parks, which canceled the popular event last year, but it won't be the same as guests remember.

The seasonal event will return to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey and Six Flags Over Georgia near Atlanta, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced on May 5.

"We heard our guests loud and clear," John Reilly, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, said in a statement.

This is really good for those parks, though I have to wonder what it means that Kings Dominion didn't get Winterfest back. I feel like these two will be scaled-down events as they get rebuilt into a more Winterfest-like product. The KD locals would have probably loved to have a scaled down Winterfest compared to nothing at all. Could BGW's ChristmasTown have played into it or is this all just more fuel for the theory that Kings Dominion is going to get sold very soon?

I'm honestly guessing it came between do we bring back entertainment or Winterfest?

Sure, ChristmasTown likely played into the decision too.
