Now that there are many ways to launch a coaster what do you think the best is?

• Swarzkopft - Counter Weight ~ Greezed Lightnin (SFKK)
• Swarzkopft - Fly Wheel ~ Greased Lightnin (SFAW)
• Premier - LIM ~ Flight of Fear (PKI
• Intamin - LIM ~ Volcano : The Blast Coaster (PKD)
• Intamin - LSM ~ Superman : The Escape (SFMM)
• Intamin - Hydraulics Launch ~ Xcelerator (KBF)
• S&S - Air Compression ~ Hyper Sonic XLC (PKD)

I have ridden the Swarzkopft - Counter Weight and it is the slowest of them all but it is still fun and I have ridden the Premier - LIMs and they are faster and still quite fun. As Far as the best system not fun level I have to say S&S - Air Compression because it is free to use air unlike Hydraulic Fuel or Electricity and I have heard that S&S launches are by far the most intense.

I would go with either the Intamin LIM or the S&S air launch. They both have really intense launches so it's hard for me to actually pick between the two.

Well It all depends but cost and quickness i would say the air lauch the hyroldic launch is very expesive. But for realibitly I would say the LIMs are the best way to lauch a coaster

How can there be any doubt that the air compression launch is the best? I think getting launched from 0 to 107 mph in 1.8 seconds is better than any launch on a coaster.

But have you ever been on Volcano (Intamin LIM)? The launch on that thing is insane and there is much more to the ride than the air launched coasters, but that's kind of another topic.

I say Hydrolic lauch since it is one of the most intence launches I have been on.

matt is right, Volcano's launch is amazing, so i'm going with intamin LIM launches. Air Launches are almost too intense althought they are cool, the LIM launches are smoother and are enjoyable. But i'm hitting Storm Runner in May so we'll have to check out the Hydrolic launch, then we can officially decide!

Without a doubt the hydraulic launch is the best. It can get you going the fastest even though it might not get you there in 1.8 seconds, it get you up there quick.

I am sure the ar launch can get you at 120 in 3 seconds they just haven't done it yet.

I'd have to say I like a good ol fashioned LIM launch, mainly because I haven't experienced an air, counter-weight, fly or hydraulic launch.

I vote for the Premier - LIM ~ Flight of Fear launch at PKI. Disney Studios offers a similar launch with its Rockin Roller Coaster. Being hurled forward mega-quickly sure beats being pulled uphill by chains.

I go for Hydrolic Launch, i will be hittin Cedar Point soon.

I have only rode FoF but volcano looks and sounds Bad @$$

I love Mr. Freeze and V2's launches (So LIM premier? and LSM invert)

I would have to say hydrolics. TTD was amazing. I think that PKI needs a HLC soon.

I've never been on an air launch or counterweights, so I'll have to say hydraulic. I think TTD is far more intense than FOF.
