Gordon Bombay
^Anyone know what became of that case? That was true crap right there. That man couldve saved himself by using common sense. Its raining, there lightinging, you dont go to a big metal object. He says the park didnt give him any warning of the storm, but when everyone is seeking shelter, all the rides are closed down, theres sounds of thunder and visible ligthing, do you really need Jeff Seibert to run out of his office, grab you by the collar, and scream in your face: "ITS GONNA RAIN!"? No, you dont. It amazes me how people cant take responsibility for themselves. It's an unfortanate accident but PKI is in no way responsible. PKIVortex
And you know PKI does let the park Guests know of any storms moving thru the area. Both on the QTV's and on the park public address system. And Hello PKI is an outdoor park, so yeah your going to be outside when it storms. Some people. Admiral Ackbar
Yeah - the guy was in the parking lot. How stupid is that. People like that scare me. My question is how in the hell do you hurt your face on Vortex - and even then if she did, the only damages she would be entitled to are the costs of the medical attention it required. She can't randomly sue for like 4 million bucks cause her face went numb on Vortex. I'm sure the case will be thrown out... Stupid *****. TQZ
I was reading up on the whole mcdonalds thing. And you guys really need to make sure you know what the mcdonalds thing was about. From what I read, McDonalds serves there coffee up to 10-20 degrees hotter than the "standard" -- What other restaurants serve it at. They serve it hotter to save money. Anyways, If you want the details, you can google it for yourself. But what it boils down to (no pun) is This lady was burnt by the coffee and had to go to the hospital. She asked for McD to pay for the hospital bills and 800 dollars. McD dismissed the whole thing which is THEN when the lady Sued for the Millions she was asking. Read up on it for yourselves and then DROP the whole mcdonalds thing. As for any lawsuit at Kings Island. I believe they should read the back of a season pass or ticket before they go sueing. The back of the pass/ticket pretty much releases the park from ANYTHING that happens to you.

Thats no excuse for the stupid Mcdonalds lady, she had no right to sue, its her own stupid fault for sticking the cofee cup in between her legs when cup holders are available in the car and disregarding the warning labels printed in red ont eh side of the cup that say "WARNING! HOT!". She is an idiot, If I knew her I would punch her right in the face.

If you could not sue or there was a cap on the amount you would get, the safety would go down in the USA because it would be cheaper to pay you off than make things safe. example If I didn't have to pay for my actions, there is about 2 people I would walk up to and plow in the mouth. Knowing I would have to pay keeps them safe, but if it didn't cost me too much I would do it.

Look at the first two results on google. Then realize the facts. Either you are a McDonalds worshiper or you are one fry short of a happy meal. Admiral Ackbar
Yes - Passes and Tickets pretty much say that you ride at your own risk. That is also what the Fun and Safety guides are for. They list the conditions that people with should not ride. If they do ride, and get hurt, it is not PKI's fault. As far as the lightning thing - had he been struck by lightning while riding a ride, I can see his point. However if he is walking around the park, or the PARKING LOT - and gets struck by lightning, its his own darn fault. Park can't be held responsible for that. But yes - hopefully this case against Vortex will be dismissed. Its another dumb person trying to milk the system - and hopefully she'll be shot down like she deserves to be.
