bjedly
I am new to Ohio, and tommorrow (Mon 05/06/05) will be my first trip there since I was a kid. I have a couple of genral questions. First of all, does anyone know if it should be busy tommorrow? I am from Orlando, and generally June is the start of the busy season, and parks are slammed every day. I was wondering if PKI is generally busy on weekdays. Also, does anyone have evperience with child swapping? At Cedar Point, the child swap was awesome, we were given a piece of paper and the parents that wnet through first would give it to the ride attendant, in the meantime, the other adult could take the kids on kid rides (instead of having to physically be at the exit like most Orlando parks.) Then, the people that had the kids could walk straight to the exit, give their names to the ride attendant and get right on. Is King's Island similar to this? My third question is regarding The Beastie. This was the first coaster that I ever rode with my dad. My son is four and does meet the height requirement. Does anyone know if this is too intense for a 4 year old. (I am also curious about Wild Thorberry's River Adventure.) I also read that Sponge Bob has a 44 inch requirement. Are they strict about that if the child is with and adult? My son ius about 42 inches and would love the attraction. I have never seen a height restriction on a 3-D movie before, and I was curious why there is one. My final question is regarding characters. Are the chacters out and about on weekdays. My son is a huge Scooby-Doo fan and my daughter is a huge Dora fan. What are the chnaces and what is the best way to see them? Thanks, any replies would be greatly appreciated. teenageninja
He should be fine on Beastie and Wild Thornberries. Spongebob Square Pants in 3D is a motion simulator with a 3D movie, he can sit in the motionless seats, but not in the motion seats.

I work at the park and I'm hoping I can answer these questions for you. The parent swap/child swap works pretty much the same way as it did at Cedar Point. The Beastie should be a good coaster to start your child out on and Wild Thornberries seems to be a ride the kids love. However the drop can be intimidating (I still dont like it and im 16, im a wimp though). Spongebob does have a height requirement and yes, the employees will enforce it. But there is good news!!!! If your child does not meet the requirement he can sit in the non-motion seats and still watch the ride in 3d! As for charecters, when you go into Hannah Barbera land you will see a set up for a Scooby Doo meet and greet that gives times as to when Scooby will be appearing. As for the other charecters though, they just kind of walk around at random as far as i know, so just be on the look out for them. The crowds shouldnt be too bad for a monday. I hope you have a great visit!!!
KIemployeeforlife
ok here is your answer to the characters... Combat you were half right. Scooby is out next to the Scooby Doo ride from 11-6 (i believe) and then as for Dora she is located back in the nick central theater. There will also be other characters out at the same time. Spongebob and Dora should always be out. Today i was out at Spongebob with my cousins and yes the do enforce the rules on height.
bjedly
Thanks to all of you for the info. My family and I are really excited about the tirp. It makes sense about Sponge Bob, I didn't know it was a simulator, but motionless seating should be cool!!
