CoastersRZ
I was also at the park today. I got up there for the ACE walkback. We had to take a slight detour, because they had I street blocked off at the bandstand for the morning dry run of the Nick Parade. So we ducked behind the Istreet buildings right behind Scooby and walked between the building and Scooby. We emerged right past Starbucks to a mass of people with envious faces. IJST was waking up slow so we were escorted to The Beast, which was also was taking his time waking up. At 10:05 we got to ride. All in all, I got a lot of rides in before leaving at 1:30 after using my walk on weekend ticket on Drop Zone. When I left, it was definantly getting crowded. A couple notes I noticed today. Delirium now has a sign in front of it saying they are awaiting a replacement part from Germany. Also, there was a sign in front of the line for the Eiffel Tower saying that it would be closed for a "Promtional Event" I`m sure glad the person who made that sign spell checked it! The one thing that shocked me though, was the amount of rides they were closing early due to the fireworks. Top Gun, Son of Beast, The Racer, Vortex, The Beast, the train, WWC. All of them closed at 8 and would NOT reopen. The fireworks were launched at ten, and the park didn`t close until midnight. I seem to recall in the past that they would reopen some of the rides. I know that there were fireworks over to the right of Son of Beast`s midcourse break, as well as in the Pumpkin Patch area of the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad. I bet the park was swamped with people riding the rides that were open for the final four hours!
Tanner
Today was not as crowded as it is being made out to be. The longest wait that I waited in all day was about half hour. The Nickelodeon Celebration Parade was great and it was awesome seeing all the employees getting into it such as the security and sweepers. The 3D effect with the fireworks was amazing also. The rides did reopen after the fireworks; Drop Zone even ran during the fireworks. The signs said the rides would not re-open, however they actually did as since tonight they closed at midnight. Those signs are there for the other nights when the rides won't actually re-open.
pkiboy
I thought they would reopen the rides. I will be there tomorrow.
CoastersRZ
In years past, I thought the park had always closed at midnight during Nights of Fire. But tomorrow night (3rd) they close at 11 and on the fourth they close at ten. I also hadn`t realized that this season they are open until midnight every Saturday through August 13, and 11 pm every Friday. It used to be 10pm closing except for an 11pm closing on Saturdays during the regular season. Additionally, they still have yet to announce if they will be open the first weekend in November, although their website lists November currently. Mr. Christopher
I'm guessing they distribute them as you pass through the area.

Tanner
I thought they would reopen the rides. I will be there tomorrow. They did reopen the rides last night. However I think since the park is closing the other two nights earlier to and closer to the ending of Nights of Fire; they will be closed on those nights. They had the signs made saying that so they could use them for the last two nights instead of having other signs made just for Saturday. The lines closed at 8 last night; but the rides kept running until the lines ran out. Drop Zone ran throughout the night.
