TOPGUN1993
Why would you have TOPGUN not SOB , they didn'y have TOPGUN last year.
CoastersRZ
I`m sure they will have more attractions open thatn just the ones listed. Afterall that is still the test site. So there will be two movies in the Action FX Theater for FearFest this year??
FOF/Z 4-ever
Also, as i said before, that room with the TV in it is for Kings Domion. Not Kings Island. Plus, its still being updated. Just keep a look out for it.
silversmith
Looks like the PKI web site is up! http://www.pki.com/fearfest
CoastersRZ
Yep, it is finally up! Funhouse Express will be in the Paramount Action FX Theater and feature Jimmy Neutron. Nothin much else was mentioned besides that. There was a brief description of Headless Hollow and Massacre Manor.
RailRider
Umm it still list TG as going upside down 6 times and makes no mention of SOB, AE, TRTR, Racer, or Delerium as being open. I think they need to work on the site a little bit, or they got tired of all the complaining and just put up what they had.
RailRider
Nice to see the old mazes that they are bringing back. Kinda expected them to change the graphic or atleast update the description, but they are the same as always. Maybe I am being way to picky, but I dont think the site is complete yet. CoastersRZ
Where are you seeing that it lists Top Gun as going upside down six times. I see it refering to Top Gun as Top Gun: The Jet Coaster, but no mention of inversions.
PKIbabe89
Awww the sight looks so sweet!!! Nicely decorated and I like the Fire sound, when you read the attractions, it's like telling a ghost story at a camp fire.
RingMaster
So exactly where is cornSTALKERS going to be at? Or is that a closely guarded secret?

RailRider
^ ^ ^ You will love Top Gun's six stomach-swirling inversions-plus its many tortuous twists and distressing drops. Straight from the website. This is listed under the picture of TG.

RailRider
Looks like the first years FearFest, because of the ET lighting and also how Int St is decorated. Just my guess
StXsteven
Now I'm mad. Last year fearfest started at 3, whh was late enough, the lines are a half hour then. Now they open at 5! The lines will be at least a 1/2 hour longer than last year. Thats dumb. So isthe name change for the haunts. Don't get me wrong, I love fearfest, and will probably love the changes, but it sounds horrible, losing 2 hours, and only a name change. Why is elvira back? that was horrible. And the funhouse, the preview type thing I saw for it showed that it looks just like the first movie, where you sit in the car and hit everything. This probably isn't true, but that is how it looks. I guess they are 3D now?
RingMaster
Funhouse Express has actually been around for a long time, since 1995, at least. This is just the first time that Paramount Parks has used the movie ride. Umm, no, Elvira was not horrible. Dracula's Haunted Castle was horrible. That's really the only reason why Elvira is back; Dracula bombed so bad it wasn't even funny. I believe only Superstition is in 3D, though. Only a name change? We are getting a second scare zone, two completely re-vamped mazes, an all-new maze (not to mention cornSTALKERS), two simulator rides, and a Friday the 13th show involving hot chicks that scream their heads off. There is certainly more to do this year than there was last year.
CoastersRZ
Ok, I`m confused. How do you figure we will have two scare zones? Curse of the Crypt will be redone, as well as House of Darkness and the former Sleepy Hollow Horror will turn into Massacre Manor. How do you figure two scare zones, plus a new maze, in addition to CornSTALKERS? According to what they have listed, there will be one new haunt/scare zone, which I thought was the scare zone. It is nice that they will have two attractions going in the FX theater.
Bryansworld8
From what I can read, there will be 5 Haunted Houses. 3 Returning from last year: Circus of Horrors, Psycho Path, and Maze of Madness. Massacre Manor will replace Sleepy Hollow Horor, and Fear Street will replace House of Darkness. What about Curse of the Crypt??? Headless Hollow sounds like the "Fright Zone" area. Funhouse and Superstition are in the FX Theater and Friday the 13th is a Movie. It all sounds cool.... but are we losing a haunted house (Crypt)?
CoastersRZ
I certainly hope that we are not loosing a haunted house! While it will be cool to have a scare zone, I do not think it should replace one of the haunted houses. Lines for the haunts are already long, let alone what removing one would cause. I thought I had heard that Curse of the Crypt won`t be returning, but that would be the new location of a Sleepy Hollow haunt. Hopefully, FearFest 2005 will have the same number of mazes, with the addition of a scare zone, and a second FX theater movie. Only time will tell what happens with FearFest, and if this one will end up being the best yet, as some have claimed it could be.

standbyme
TOPGUN1993 said: What fear fest is this from http://www.vrcincinnati.com/cubicvr/cubicfear.htm ?? Yeah, this is from the first Fearfest in 2000. Maybe i'm sentimental...but that one still seems like the best time i've had. (You never forget your first!) The fog machines were incredible! (Picture the most fog you can imagine...then triple it.) What you can (almost) see in the VRCincinnati link is the entrance to "The Freezer" at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. (A lot of the characters were dressed as meat butchers.) If you went to the other side of the tower you got into the VERY long line for "Torture Tower" which was located at the top of the tower. To be honest, that idea wasn't the greatest...what with the limited area up there, there wasn't that much to see...plus like I said the line was terrible because sending people up and down took time...but i'm still glad I can say I got to do it! StXsteven
"Only a name change? " I think you need to reread my post.... Yes most have new names, and who said they were revamped? Last year, it said Curse of the crypt-revamped. I didn't see those words on any of them this year, so I doubt any are revamed, just maybe repainted, a new scene or 2, and a new name, but It won't be totally changed like Curse of the Crypt. (unless they didn't write revamped because they have new names) I enjoyed this one, it wasn't there best, but it was a variety, vampires, werewolves, and mummies, which was so much better than just mummies. Vampires were the scariest part, which do you think was? Why would they get rid of it? Have you seen the commercial for hiring? Where he says "Looking good" for all 3 seasons(pki, fearfest, winterfest) For the fearfest scene, he's a vampire.. false advertisement? Or will it be back?(there was a mummy in the background too, so I doubt it was added to Fear street) I never watched Dracula, we were so disgusted by elvira that we didn't take a look at the vampire one. Why do you people keep talking about cornSTALKERS, it's not on the site? Is it going to be added, or no? "two simulator rides, and a Friday the 13th show involving hot chicks that scream their heads off. There is certainly more to do this year than there was last year. " I never said there wasn't... but the jason is old, did anyone enjoy this? I thought it was interesting but everyone says it was horrible? The fun house show is new to the park, but it's not new. And elvira is just back, so nothing sounds different here. "We are getting a second scare zone" Where is this located? It's not posted anywhere. "two completely re-vamped mazes," New names yes, but they better not screw them up, fear street were good books, but in a haunted house? Nah. I bet it will be the same as last year, just a new name, and a new scene. Sleepy Hollow, shouldn't be revamped, it's only been here one year, and was the best they have. Revamp could be for the worse? I think I covered everything..
StXsteven
Could this happen? Because of Winterfest, alot of fearfest money will be given to Winterfest? I heard this somewhere, which could mean fearfest, will be short funding. This guy said even though fearfest has a new haunt, scenes from the other haunts will be taken out and given to the new haunt. This could be BS but what do you think? Delirium13
From what I hear on the Website I am somewhat dissapointed, I don't know about the scarezones, they aren't even listed on the site, but it just seems like the renamed some of the rides. In My opinion House of Darkness was a better name than R.L. Stine's Fear Street, the ride takes place in a House not on a Street so the name doesn't even fi. But I guess I'll just have to go and see for myself.
StXsteven
D, you probably know what scare zones are, but most people don't, and if you don't scarezoes are the areas where its completely filled with fog, actors walking around, and props set up. Most haunted houses are located in this section.(In most cases) But I do agree House of Darkness is a much better name than R.L. Stine's fearstreet, but the fact it's called fearstreet is fine. Because if you read the books, all of the bad things that happen, happen on fearstreet, usually in a house on fearstreet, so the line could be fearstreet, and the haunted house is on fearstreet, which could work I guess. RingMaster
If you can remember the Kings Island e-newsletter, it mentioned the Curse of Sleepy Hollow attraction, which is the second scare zone. Headless Hollow is, I believe, near the train station, with cornSTALKERS probably connecting HH to the main path. Curse of the Crypt is not coming back this year, but a vast majority of its props will be used for additions to the other mazes/scare zones. All that's left to figure out is what they'll do with the actual facade of COTC (behind Maze of Madness exit). I believe the only reason why they decided not to bring it back was too many people complaining about how dark it was inside the maze. Kind of stupid considering House of Darkness last year had an entire room devoted to...darkness. The FearFest sites never mention the actual scare zones (the only exception being PCW's FearFest); they never have and probably never will. My guess is that the Sleepy Hollow zone is in Rivertown, with Coney Maul being...Coney Mall. You still have to admit the Friday the 13th movies have tons of hot chicks screaming their heads off. The show isn't all that great (I had to sit through rehearsals of it last year during dress rehearsals for COTC), but it's fun to see audience members get the crap scared out of them when Jason starts walking by. One last thing, both this year and next year are the two years in which FearFest will really start to expand. This year brings The Curse of Sleepy Hollow scare zone; next year will probably bring yet another scare zone (hopefully not MTV's Rock'n'Scare), therefore transforming Kings Island into a true Haunted Theme Park. StXsteven
I forgot wht the E-newsletter said, but do you know where the Curse of Sleepy Hallow will be located? What is cornSTALKERS and why isn't this haunt not posted on the site? Could it just be apart of one of trails or something? Well I guess if it's named then its seperated, it's just weird there is no information on it. Some prick told me the new "Curse of the sleepy Hallow" will either be on the train, or along thetrain path, he wasn't being very clear, because he was talking about how he hates fearfest, and he said "That's what makes Fear Fest so unbearable... 1 hour wait in line for a 5 minute haunt. Fun. I hope your "train" trail this year goes well... " If you would like to know who that poster is, I'd be glad to tell you:) and if you would like to write them an e-mail that would be cool to! haha, sorry I'm a fearfest lover, anyone who disses it makes me mad. Guesswhat's funny about the poster? She is on the USS nightmare development team... And hauntguy what are you talking about? Whose the message to? Guesswhat's funny about the poster? She is on the USS nightmare development team... And hauntguy what are you talking about? Whose the message to? I believe that Curse of Sleepy Hollow is the Rivertown area. Curse is supposed to be the second scare zone with the Headless Horseman running around the place. Headless Hollow, apparently, runs along part of the train path route, I don't exactly know where on the train route. Originally, their first idea was to have the train ride itself become a Haunt, but they decided to keep the train for the families with the Pumpkin Express. And I think cornSTALKERS is either part of Headless Hollow or connects HH to the main Rivertown path. Yeah, they usually don't post information on the scare zones at all. Coney Mall just gets re-themed to Coney Maul for FearFest every year; it happens like clockwork. All of the old props from Curse of the Crypt are actually sitting by the Picnic Grove; they are housed in the white tent where they stored the parade floats from Nick Celebration Parade. So I believe those will aid towards re-theming Rivertown into Curse of Sleepy Hollow. Also, several thickets of corn stalks are lying beside the tent, so cornSTALKERS is definitely coming. Oh, one last thing, but this is only a rumor. Even though Curse of the Crypt is gone this year, there is a slight chance that it could be coming back next year with a larger addition. The reason? PCW's FearFest has a maze entitled Legend of the Lost: The Director's Cut, which sounds a lot like COTC. So if LOTL does well at Canada's Wonderland, then COTC could come back as Legend of the Lost. Maybe, maybe not...
