tattooblood
First of all they are wasting money on that dumb lodge. Second of all they could use that money for a new coaster that is high speed and tall! Oh and one more thinh they already have a waterpark! It seems like pki loves throwing money away! CoastersRZ
PKI is not the one building this thing. They are just contributing the land towards it. Great Wolf is investing the money for the actual building.

God, how many more idiots are gonna join this site? Im guessing you want a giant giga coaster too? Idiot, we've discussed this a million times, and what it comes down to is whats gonna bring in money, target towards families, and can be themed. There is no logical theme for a giant hyper coaster and its not going to bring in as many people as a great wolf lodge will. The GWL will contribute a lot and be very succesfull. People love water parks and in the winter there will be no other competitors for water park fun, the only other year round water parks in ohio are owned by the same company. This is a good move for PKI.

Gordon Bombay
True, their is castaway bay I did forget that, and that Ramada is building a new indoor water park up there by CP, but theyre not close so theres really no competition in the off season for PKI's. FOF/Z 4-ever
Yea, can you think of another water park in this area that will be open year round? I cant.
RailRider
Khalahari is the name of the other indoor water park being built in Sandusky. GWL @ PKI will be a tremendous success. Try booking GWL or CB during the summer or winter, it doesnt matter because they are pretty much booming year round. The addition of GWL will only help PKI and their annual attendance. Once GWL is open for a full seasson compare those numbers to the previous years and we will see a huge difference. Anyone that says this is a bad move by PKI, has never been to one of these indoor water park resort lodges, nor do they understand how this will help PKI of becoming a resort destination. Talk about a Business no brainer. Hmmm shut down camp ground and let a company pay all of the construction and opperating costs to build and run a year round resort destination on our doorstep. Not to mention PKI receives the benefit of all those new tourists and profits from the success of GWL.
Gordon Bombay
I wonder if the Beach will profit from this as well, it will bring in some more people for them and theyre just around the corner.
FOF/Z 4-ever
yes, but I dont think the Beach has to much that KI cannot offer. I mean, you can ride rides, go for a dip, and then ride rides again to dry off. You cant beat that
Ben
PKI will earn profit from the Great Wolf Lodge. PKI was paid to have this built there.

You cant beat that True, but the Beach has some pretty good slides and isnt as crowded as BB and has one thing that Boomerang Bay really lacks.........SHADE! FOF/Z 4-ever
Yea, what was up w/ that? Wasnt the whole idea of the new water park was to have more shade?
dionmarx
GWL will do well for most of the year. It was really a no brainer as GWL is taking most of the risk... I only have a problem with no campground in the plans. This year we tried the local C/G, it did not work out.. My kids have no desire to visit PKI again until a new C/G is built... So this year. no Fear Fest for us, which is when we get new S/Pass for next year, and for the 1st time since 1988, we will not have S/P for 2006. normal
We to tried a local campgrounds. Now it did not have the added convieniance as did the one that was next to the park. But it was a really nice campground. They had a pool and a nature preserve that you could go hiking in and was still only about a 10 minute drive to the park.I would love to see another campground built at the park though.Last I heard there were plans to build one for next season and that came from a response to an email to the park.
