TheKlockster Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 That is awesome! I will hopefully be there for the 28th. I can't wait to see the segment air on NGC!
Legend Rider Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Again, I would go, but Im too far away, props to Maureen for fessing up to her silly typo... LOL BTW - Does anyone know the definition of ZEPHYR? I do.
Admiral Ackbar Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 It is a gentle wind... Here is the question. Which way is the vector pointing?
BoddaH1994 Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Oh sure.....make fun of the messenger. HAHA! I deserve it!!! Sometimes I wonder if my head is attached!! I suppose that's what we get for moving so fast. Thanks so much for your participation today.....and tomorrow. I know it was very short notice, and our corporate advertising team thanks you for your patience and willingness to help. For those keeping score at home, we are also hosting a National Geographic shoot on Sept. 28 and 29. We will film on the 28th from 8:30 - 4 p.m. and on the 29th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Both days will feature Son of Beast, Flight of Fear and possibly Top Gun. Please note that the ZEPHYR will not be shot on either day. If you are interested, please meet us 30 minutes before the scheduled shoot time at Security Post 3. Please wear brightly colored tops and shorts or jeans. No logos or hats, please. Lunch will be provided. Email me (maureen.kaiser@paramountparks.com) if you're interested. I would love for you to join us, and we've already logged many great volunteers. The more the merrier. FYI, National Geographic is spotlighting LIM launch coasters, as well as the engineering/construction marvel that is SoB. We will be filming all day Tuesday on IJ, but we don't need any riders for that. Should be a fantastic segment. Thanks again, PKIC! You rock. PKImaureen From another topic about Holiday World's Voyage: IDK if it was already mentioned, Voyage is claiming some Records... 4th tallest wood, 3rd longest wood, 8th longest coaster, 3rd fastest wood, IT WILL OWN IT Hey Maureen, If he gives you any more trouble ask him who has the FIRST tallest coaster, the FIRST longest wooden, and the FIRST fastest coaster. Owned.
Legend Rider Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 the First Tallest and First Longest wouldnt be accurate to state, records get broken all the time... However, those that PKI currently has is something to talk about... Oh yeah, I was kinda bummed that I couldnt do the PKI-Video Shoots, But I do however get to do a RAVEN Shoot... HECK YES
Legend Rider Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Zephyr has multiple Vectors... the Vecor for the gondola Only, Downward, for the Entire Ride, would be Upward however not enough to react against the Gondola alone... then there is Gravity, which all balances out, maybe more downward forrce altogether... hence Zephyr never Trying to "hop" ha ha ha Im the bomb, pHysics is pHun, Chemistry is pHun
TheKlockster Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I want to do a Raven shoot. Though I would rather do a Legend shoot...
TheKlockster Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Guy walks into the Doctors office. Doctor says hes gonna need an operation. Guy says I want a second opinion. Doctor says ok youre ugly too! Ba dum bum. I have my opinion... You have yours... But regardless - Legend OWNS Raven... Vortex is my favorite though!
TOPGUN1993 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I just got back from PKI and it was fun RECAR : 7 times Scrambler:6 times.
TheKlockster Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 No TOP GUN!!!!!! You didn't went to the danger zone? Yesterday - it said on the sign in sheet - Willing to ride Roller Coasters? People were writing yes and no. Someone wrote Top Gun.
CoastersRZ Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 You have to love how one of the staff members on the filming crew said Wednesday morning that there were "professional roller coaster riders" in attendane. LOL.
TheKlockster Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I'm going to seperate you into two groups. I need the talent over here. Everyone else - the riders - over here.
ZosoBeast Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Or "pretty people" over here and "non-pretty people" over there! They did give us free breakfast. I never seen so many McDonalds breakfast sandwhiches in once place!
BoddaH1994 Posted September 16, 2005 Author Posted September 16, 2005 A special thank you goes out to the PKIC super hard working unpaid TALENT for helping out on such a short notice. We'll see you in two weeks!
