Another e-mail from the desk of Maureen Kaiser:

Hey there.

We're looking for some riders.... I know it's smack in the middle of the

day, but if anyone's available, we could use the help. As is typical, it

will be a hurry up and wait situation, but there is lunch!! :-)

As far as National Geographic goes, here's the scoop:

We're looking for stars of all ages to join us for a special National

Geographic television shoot Sept. 28 - 29 at Paramount's Kings Island.

We will ride a several coasters, including Flight of Fear, Son of Beast

and Top Gun.

Call times are as follows:

Sept 28: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sept. 29: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (ish)

Participants should wear brightly colored tops and jeans or shorts. The

tops should have no logos (park logos, especially) or advertisements.

Hats should not be worn. Lunch will be provided.

We would love for folks to stay for the duration of the day, but we can

definitely work with different schedules!

Those interested should contact Maureen Kaiser via email at

maureen.kaiser@paramountparks.com.

i got excited when i erad "next week" thinking i might actually be able to take part in one of these.... finally

then i realized i was misled by ryan and it will actually be 2 and a half weeks..... by which time i am already back into the swing of school at UC.... BOOOO!

Does anyone know if the only rides that will be running will be Top Gun, SOB, and FoF? I'm just wondering if it'll be worth the two hour trip to the park since they just announced this even in the newsletter, it'll probably be ungodly crowded, and with only a few rides open, it's bound to be a nightmare.

From the desk of Maureen Kaiser:

Our National Geographic shoot started today (first of three days), and

it's going GREAT! Thanks again to everyone who volunteered to assist -

we couldn't do it without you!!!!

We have two schedule changes, and I wanted to make you aware of them

ASAP.

First, on Wednesday's shoot, we will not be filming on Top Gun. Rather,

we will ride The Racer. Yay!

Second, we will NOT need volunteer riders on Thursday. I apologize for

those who signed up to assist us on Thursday, but we will only film Son

of Beast as a structure and do not need riders.

Thank you SO much for your patience and understanding. I do look forward

to seeing those who are able to come tomorrow. Please know that I will

keep everyone's name and contact information on a list for future

opportunities. We do quite a few shoots in the park each season and are

always looking for enthusiastic folks!!

If you do go just make sure not to ride in the front, thats for TALENT ONLY!! Because clearly it takes extreme talent to ride a roller coaster. tongue.gif

I will be one of the people in the front. OMG were LAUNCHING! ZERO TO FIFTY FOUR IN FOUR SECONDS! AAAH INTO THE COBRA ROLL! NOW THE SIDEWINDER! ... And so on... And it doesn't take talent, just a hot bod like mine - the typical ACEr physique! Boy I can't wait for the lunch!

Another from the desk of Maureen Kaiser:

Guys,

Remember how I said that I didn't need volunteers for tomorrow? Well

that was a bold faced lie. In fact, National Geographic has asked us for

more volunteers to ride (most likely) The Beast. We'll meet at Post 3 at

1 p.m. Anyone is welcome as long as they are at least 48" tall.

Would you mind posting this/sharing with the masses?

THANK YOU!!!!!!
