CoastersRZ
I was at the park from 10:20 this morning until around 9. Despite the crowded parking lot, the longest line I waited in was Face Off at about hald an hour. Most of the lines were short or non existant. The line for The Beast was never more than about three or four trains, and the wait for Delirium and Drop Zone were both only a couple of cycles. Most of the crowds were in the two kiddie lands! Also, in the evening, I finally rode Extreme Skylfyer for the first time with my Dad, using the two free passes I won from this site back in December. (Thanks PKIC!) The ride was awesome, and definantly worth the $5 they have been charging for it the past couple of times I have visited the park. The path running from Paradise Island Drinks down to the Rivertown Restrooms were decked out with lots of cornstalks and bundles of straw lined the edge of the midway. In Coney Mall, most of the games building have been covered in black cloth and the landscaping mesh. Someone on The Beast crew said hi to me and asked me if I was CoastersRZ from PKIC. I said yes. I don`t know who it was (it was around 10:50 this morning). Hello, and nice to finally put a face to a name, whatever that name may be. Also, I saw Klockster (Adam) at The Racer, and then later on checking bars on Son of Beast. Another interesting thing, is that they were offering Winterfest tickets today (for selected days only) for only $12.50!!! Now that was a deal that was too good to pass up, and my family got tickets for a Sunday in December. The season pass price is $16.99 and the advanced price is $17.99 with at the gate pricing of $24.99. Well, time to get some rest after a long day at the park! TheKlockster
I rode Beast this morning - and you got on the train that was leaving as I came back. I told that guy from Beast - who is also a member of PKIC - to tell you hi. He said you didn't seem that friendly... GFB: Do you post on PKIC? CoastersRZ: Yes ::walks away:: Anyways - yeah I was at Vortex, then Troika, then Racer, then Son of Beast. Did anybody see all the weird inflatables? I got some pics. They are pretty funny. I really like the giant inflatable Charmin bear. Cha cha cha - CHARMIN!
CoastersRZ
Well, it was early in the morning, and my Dad had asked me a question right before he asked me. Sorry if I seemed unfriendly!!! I will be back tomorrow, as my Dad got another pair of tickets for me to use, well later today. I`ll say more than yes this time if you are at The Beast! Yes, they always have all thos inflatable advertisements for P&G. The free samples they give away at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower make the Eifferl Tower area really congested, not to mention the WNBA court they set up in front of the International Bandstand. TheKlockster
How do you get those samples? I really want one of those Charmin Teddy Bears!
CoastersRZ
You have to have a coupon. The tickets for the event come in the mail, and include coupons (1 coupon per family/group) for the samples. It is the same way with the drawings for the Tide jackets and variety pack winners, which they were broadcasting the winners of those events over QTV. HaUsTy83
I was there yesterday also and got there around 3 the crowd was not bad at all. Rode a couple rides and didn't have to wait no longer then half a hour for anything except ITJ the line was about an hr. I have to say I love the tunnel in the dark after the helicopter. That part is my favorite part of the ride because you can't tell which direction your going.

CoastersRZ
Why was a train on The Vortex consistently being stopped at the top of the lift tonight? I know you left The Vortex drive booth and headed over to Shake Rattle and Roll around 8, but I was just wandering what the reason behind it was. When I was marathoning on The Beast I noticed that they were stopping trains on the lift, and not just for a couple seconds, sometimes almost thirty seconds. TheKlockster
I remember it very well - but I can't remember what it was for. I hope we can have some off season competition this off season as well!
CoastersRZ
It was something along the lines of making ten or more posts in a week. Anyone who met that criteria was eligible to win the two Skflyer tickets. I just happened to be the lucky one who was choosen as the winner! TRTR Guy
Probably because the block ahead was still occupied, thus the PLC turned off the lift.
CoastersRZ
No, that was not the reason for it. I heard what the cause of it was, and I was a little surprised at what actually was causing it and I will leave it at that. While The Vortex crew is good. They couldn`t have been that quick at dispatching trains, even on a dead day like that. Sometimes the train was stuck up there for 30 seconds or more!
