November 22, 200520 yr I think this new freefall ride sounds pretty good. Here's the link from coasterbuzz. S&S Sonic Boom Freefall On the coasterbuzz page, there is a link to some pics of this new ride.
November 22, 200520 yr ^Did you read about what it does? It goes much faster than the other types of freefalls and looks pretty cool.
November 22, 200520 yr way taller than drop zone and it goes 90 mph. it must be one of those rides you pay for because there is only one seat.

November 22, 200520 yr ^ Did you really just say that... Did you not take physics yet or something? Everything falls at 9.8 meters per second; which means that as you fall further, you gain more and more speed until you reach terminal velocity. Terminal velocity is when the object falling cannot fall at a quicker speed due to air resistance on the object. Drop Zone is not nearly as tall or as fast as Sonic Boom is. Hense why Sonic Boom is faster...
November 23, 200520 yr Plus being made by S&S I am sure it uses penumatic power - meaning it probably shoots you down faster than gravity can pull you down - like a Turbo Drop on steroids.
November 23, 200520 yr Plus being made by S&S I am sure it uses penumatic power - meaning it probably shoots you down faster than gravity can pull you down - like a Turbo Drop on steroids. Yes true. But it will not give you that same feeling of Drop Zone because you are inside a little capsule.
November 23, 200520 yr Drop Zone is a big rush - at least for me. But a Turbo Drop has more airtime because its pulling you down faster than gravity can - so on a freefall like Drop Zone - you get zero g during drop and on a Turbo Drop you get negative g.
