New theme parks in Connecticut, or pie in the sky by and by?

Interesting article...wasn't there another 1000+ acre theme park resort proposed for Conn. a few years back? I seem to remember something having to do with Indian Reservation land, but I might be confusing it with something else... There have been a lot of projects proposed & announced over the last few years.

I think the interesting part of the article is that it spent most of its time talking about the likelihood of finding qualified park management...like that's even an issue. I think a more interesting slant on the problems of building a resort like this would be talking about challenges in securing (then later servicing) $1.6B in debt!

Yes, there was such a thing planned up in that same general area on an Indian reservation. This writer was thrilled at the prospect of a 500 foot Skycoaster..which, like the park, never materialized....

Sigh.
