Why is there so much cleared land directly behind Son of Beast? I know there are lodges being built back there but I'm talking about the land between SOB and the lodges.

you do know that Southern yellow pine does not grow between SOB and the Lodges right?

It is southern yellow pine used in coasters... not traditional Kings Island wood.

That cleared land to the north of Son of Beast is the remains of the Wild Animal Habitat that used to run through that area. Currently, they have several old parking lot trams stored back there, as well as some track pieces from King Cobra. I do believe that some of the remains of Scooby`s Ghoster Coaster have found there way back there. Nothing new has really happened back there lately, other than the Great Wolf Lodge on the former campground site.

What I'm wondering is why it took so long for folk to realize this?

I Think they need to run a dry run day so we can all help with the field, i mean who had ever thought of fertilizing it! wow this topic is gettin hardcore extreme for me.

I dont know maybe 3 or 4. 5 or 6 for sure if we had one of those new fast go carts.

There's some access roads back there, for all them maintenance folk.

They need to build a new campground back there. --jenni
