pkister
If it does not open soon I will look like this: BOOO! If it does open I will look like this: YAAAAAAYYYY! That is all!

UCcatguy52
I hope to be working on that crew next year so i hope it reopens next year or maybe this year but that is highly doubtful.

I wounldn't mind if it cough on fire. Wow...I've never had a burze before, but I bet they hurt. However, I know SoB has never given me a bruise. I think it'll be open by next year, maybe not on opening day, but it'll be open next year. I'm just glad I got in one ride on it this year...the day before the accident, too. pkidude03
With the amount of work they have to do to it. I don't see it re-opening this season. It'll be a miracle if does.
KIBeast
^I agree. It will more than likely not re-open this season and I'm not sure about next year. Actually, hasn't it been stated that it won't re-open for this year?

Vortex
I think they might try to get it open for testing. It all depends on the test they are going to do to the ride.
vortex31
Where does the ride engineering firm of Werner Stengel fit in to this equation? Given their reputation as the top coaster engineering firm don't some of these design problems fall on their shoulders? Perhaps SOB has to hasty of a design. Trying to emulate The Beast into a bigger beast has not fared well given SOB's history. In the history of roller coasters SOB will never be the equal of its father. The Interpreter
You assume the coaster was actually built to his design, an assumption that may or may not be true. . . and that even if it was, you apparently also assume that it was not modified at some time in order to save costs or achieve some other end. The Interpreter
No one outside a few insiders really knows, but unless the aftermath of the Son of Beast incident is settled out of court, we will all get an opportunity to find out. . . vortex31
Its going to be interesting if nothing else. I would hate to see PKI goes to court all over the news. If they were to lose in court over faulty engineering/construction issues that would look really bad.
Mr.Son of Beast
PKI probably wouldn't go to court because it was the company that said it was completely safe and approved it so it would not be Kings Islands problem as much as it is to the designer/maker whatever you want to call its problem. To put it as simply as possible, unless the case is settled, PKI has NO CHOICE about whether or not it will go to court. It has been sued, and, as such, is a defendant. Defendants MUST answer in court unless there is a settlement. They can blame others (who become third party defendants unless they are already named to the action), put on a defense, or--wonder of wonders--admit liability, which only seems to happen on really bad tv shows... TopThrill
That SOB needs some major work done before I will ride it again.
