This has to be the worst year in history for amusement parks.

Yeah this is crazy. I wonder if this will be another pre-existing condition? I think people have problems and they don't even know it. Some of these coasters must really scare people alot. Wow just wow.

On average 4 to 5 people die on coasters in the US every year. Mostly due to preexisting medical conditions. So far though this year does seem worse then normal. But I will have to check I believe it was 2001 that was a very bad year for injuries in general. Don't know about deaths but it was well above average for the number of people who went to a theme park and was treated at an emergency room. That does include all the idiots who injure themselves and the people who trip over their own shoelaces though.

Lesson for folk:

Do not eat at Varsity before riding Goliath.
