August 29, 200619 yr And general ride ops are always clued in too! I think you know very well Uncle Henry that run of the mill ride ops dont know jack s**t most of the time, no matter how much they think they do.
August 29, 200619 yr Well, from what I've heard from other sources, he was right on some things, but wrong on others. Still, we will find out what exactly he got right and wrong on the announcement day.
August 29, 200619 yr That ride looks potentially dangerous, first off its way too low to the ground, second, the constant shift will really hurt necks
August 30, 200619 yr That ride looks potentially dangerous, first off its way too low to the ground, second, the constant shift will really hurt necks You came to that conclusion from looking at some pictures and not even knowing what kind of coaster it is yet? That is impressive!
August 30, 200619 yr First, it's not going to be dangerous due to it being low to the ground. As far as the constant shifts are concerned, you don't even know at what speed they will be taken.
August 30, 200619 yr How many coasters have you built??? So you are an expert on this??? I could understand your concern if you knew what type and how fast this coaster will be... Press Release From Cedar Point Cedar Points new coaster will be the first ever Noose coaster where guests are restrained by their necks and hang from the side of the track. Coaster experts like Swanky333 have raised concern over the safety of this new ride, but Cedar Point feels that the rewards of a new groundbreaking coaster are worth the chances of snaping peoples necks. This concern would have been fine if you would have waited till the coaster and facts were released, but as of right now you are putting the cart before the mule.
August 30, 200619 yr Ground is not a factor... Coaster can go underground, above it, or on it... Look at The Racers, they go "to the ground" on some hills. The turns? Reminds me of IJ:ST... We won't know anything about this ride until annoucements. If I were concerned about anything, it would be the color. There seems to be alot of 'red' at CP? People will soon start seeing red lines everywhere! LOL! -Hauntguy

August 30, 200619 yr OMG! TAT RIDE IS TEH UNSAFZOERS!!!! NOONE CAN RIDES IT!!!!1!1!!!121 Yeah, Intamin knows what they are doing, they are a very good company.
August 30, 200619 yr Now I understand we may have some worried if the decide to flood the entire area and then build the remainder of the track out in to the lake. Because the freezing of Lake Eire would have absolutely no effect on the metal structure of a coaster. Then again this will be a very unsafe ride because the pennisula that Cedar Point is built on is sinking in to Lake Erie. Or in reality this ride will be another great addition to CP Maverick Awaits its debut in 2007
August 30, 200619 yr Then again this will be a very unsafe ride because the pennisula that Cedar Point is built on is sinking in to Lake Erie. THIS IS TRUE. See also: Vortex
August 31, 200619 yr Now Railrider, quit spreading nasty rumors. You know good and well that only Magnum and Millennium are sinking. The peninsula is fine.
August 31, 200619 yr Those are the only 2??? I beg to differ the entire peninsula is going under and fast. I was told that because of Wicked Twisters location to the lake and the rapid sinking of the ground that by the 2009 seasson, CP will be retheming WT as a water ride. Guests will board the ride underwater and with the help of special breathing devices witll be launched from underwater up the 2 spirals that will still be barely out of the water. Pretty cool huh?
September 1, 200619 yr It's pathetic how CP is getting a new coaster, they are packed like sardines trying to build a coaster when they just bought 5 new parks with loads of space. Pathetic. SHUT UP! CP is a lot of fun and they know what there doing!

CP is a lot of fun and they know what there doing! Says the Six Flags traitor... I mean employee... Just playing, you know I have no problems with ya at SF.
September 1, 200619 yr He's at Six Flags only because Cedar Fair doesn't own the former Riverside Park. Yet.
September 1, 200619 yr With all due respect, I think that theory is all wet. What theory? Edit***Never mind, Interpreter. I just now got it. I am a little slow today.
September 1, 200619 yr Yeah its always a tossup between RoS and M Force for #1. Best solution - buy out the park that owns RoS!
September 1, 200619 yr Uh, no. You might want to consider not only their assets, but also their debts.
September 2, 200619 yr They are about as in debt as Six Flags is - but has a plan, and the means to get out.
September 2, 200619 yr Ride of Steel is the best coaster Ive ever been on! To bad Maverick cant be an extended version of it with 3 or 4 more airtime hills and tunnels!
September 2, 200619 yr First some are criticizing the fact that the ride is being built at CP, now some are complaining about the layout & design; and this is before the ride is even officially announced! Why can't everyone just be happy that a park is installing a new ride!
September 2, 200619 yr Author Why can't everyone just be happy that a park is installing a new ride! Because they took out a Classic ride (White Water Landing)
September 2, 200619 yr Because they took out a Classic ride (White Water Landing) There was not that much disagreement when KKKK was dismantled for TR:TR.
September 2, 200619 yr Author There was not that much disagreement when KKKK was dismantled for TR:TR. I believe PKIC wasn't here.
