Mr.Son of Beast
I went to Cedar Pointlast week and it was fun First we rode Raptor and that had a hour and a half wait it was fun. Then Blue Streak we rode in the very back and the lap bars were all screwed up and came like 5 inches off our legs and it hurt.So then we walked over to Wild Cat and Iron Dragon Iron Dragon was alright except they didn't have that mist under that last knotat the end of the ride so we hopped on Wild Cat after that and it was fun other than the chain jumping so the car jumped and it hurt like crap.So then we walked by Mantis because it hurt liek crap from our past experience and went onto Millenium Force had a nice rideon that too then we walked over to Sky Hawk and one of the arms was broken so we had a longer wait then we had a good ride but it was too short and walked by Mean Streak because it's a crappy ride and it hurts amd got on Gemini we lost because there were a bunch of fat people in the other train then we got on Magnum fun but not as fun as I remembered it.Then we were gonna get on Dragster but it broke down so we rode Wicked Twister Matter Horn and Corkscrew to finish off our day. The Interpreter
Sure seems like a lot of hurtin' and a lot of rides with problems at Cedar Fair's Flagship Park....
racerdog45
funny I went to Cedar Point for the first time ever a couple weeks ago for 2 days and thought all the rides were alot smoother than most of KI's rides. We were there 12 hours the first day and about 8 the second and other than Mean Streak and Blue Streak which were a little rough (woodies after all) everything else felt great and we rode EVERY coaster at least once, most twice and a few 3 or more times. So after 20 hours at CP I felt great whereas after about 5 at KI I usually feel a bit beat up. I still enjoy KI but I prefer CP now but I'm still glad I have a season pass to KI. I'm 43 and I had never rode a coaster untill 2003 and have been to KI far more than anyplace else but to be honest CP was better IMO. Better coasters, better staff (nicer, more on each ride and seemed more into making everything fun) and I really liked the feel of the park, plus the area is beautiful with the water and everything. Like I said I still like KI but it's kind of like have a cute sweet wife and suddenly having a hot single chick on the side....lol. I know I'm an"newbie" and I'll probally get flamed but hey, it's a newbies point of view. I still really like KI and always will but my first love (KI) has been replaced by another.....lol
KIBeast
^That's because that most of the coasters at Cedar Point ARE smoother than Kings Islands'.
TheKlockster
Except Blue Streak. It is VERY rough.
ragerunner
Last time I went to Cedar Point, most of the major coasters had very hot lines. Very little shade, it was just back in forth like cattle. Cedar Point does have the best coaster collection on the planet, but the rest of the park, theming, landscaping, etc... is very poor. I am a little suprised they had that many issues with their major rides. I agree with Interpreter, that not good, since Cedar Point is Cedar Fair's flagship park. TOPGUN1993
Blue Streak was one of the smothest rides there I thought.

The Interpreter
Merely what happens when the writer writes too soon after riding Mean Streak, in my humble observations.

CoasterKid
Back to Cedar Point .... I went about a month ago and I was very disappointed in Magnum...it's ranked so high and people rave about it but I found it to be really rough and bumpy. Dragster, Millennium Force, and Raptor were amazing though. They've joined The Beast among my favorites and made me think that even though KI has plenty of coasters, they're lacking in quality. Top Gun isn't anything special and it seems theres never a line for it. I love The Vortex but they really need to pad the seats...I have a boney rear and it's quite uncomfortable. Face/Off isn't really worth the wait for me anymore. SOB is one of my faves so I can't wait for it to reopen.
