August 30, 200619 yr I was just at the Cedar Point website when I saw Snoopy at the top of the home page flying in his Air plane/Dog House with a message behind him saying "The secret's out in eight days" which I believe is Maverick it was talking about.
August 30, 200619 yr It could also be talking about Halloweekends. But i just went to the site and it looks like you are probably right. Lets hop if they do unveil it they will give some preview shots of it.
August 30, 200619 yr It is for Maverick. I stated this in another thread, which I read from Pointbuzz with an official link.
August 30, 200619 yr OMG! It all makes sence now! Red track, and Snoopy advertisement? It must be themed to the Red Barron!
August 30, 200619 yr OMG! It all makes sence now! Red track, and Snoopy advertisement? It must be themed to the Red Barron! I did not even think of that as possible. But I hope your right and it would not surprise me at all.
August 30, 200619 yr Author It very well explains where it is being built back near Sky Hawk and all of that American themed stuff.

September 8, 200619 yr This is probably one of the most exciting coasters Cedar Point has had in awhile. Yeah, Millie is great and Draggie is tall and fast...but record-breakers don't appeal to everyone whereas Maverick will appeal to quite a large group of people. Thrill seekers get their fair share of thrills with some pretty decent speed and low, fast turns. More family-oriented people don't have to pass it up because it isn't a huge, towering monster and speed demon. Hell, I'd bet even grandma could ride, her teeth will stay in unlike if she rode Dragster. ...and records get broken, year after year. Is it really all that important to have a record for a year or two?
September 8, 200619 yr I respectfully disagree Quickwind. I think this coaster looks pretty good. There's a lot of low to the ground action going on. Did you guys check out that in-line twist (or whatever it's called) that looks like you could almost hit your head on the ground? Not to mention the head choppers in the little canyons. It's about time CP installed another coaster with inversions.
September 8, 200619 yr ^ ^ ^ I completely agree, did you notice how fast the train is traveling through the heartline roll. That inversion reminds me of a snap roll that air show pilots perform. Very intense looking.
