A lot of the coversations regarding the differences between CF owning KI and Paramount/Viacom/CBS owning KI is that we no longer will have to deal with "forced" movie tie-in themeing...

So, I was somewhat suprised to see that Knott's will debut a direct movie tie-in themed attraction at their Halloween event...

"The Grudge 2" is the first-ever movie-based maze to be presented at the park. Inspired by the upcoming Columbia Pictures release ("The Grudge 2" won't actually hit theaters 'til October 13th), here visitors come face to face with tortured souls and find themselves, much like the characters in the movie, fighting for both their sanity & their lives.

Not that I'm saying this is any sign of things to come from CF (my guess is that this is a cross-promotional campaign for both Columbia and Knotts), but I found it kind of interesting.
