CoastersRZ Posted October 24, 2006 Share Posted October 24, 2006 Cedar Fair announced today in a release that they will maintain the quarterly cash distribution at $.47 per limited partner unit, or the equivalent of $1.88 per year. Also of note, is that the press release refers to Cedar Fair not as Cedar Fair L.P., but as Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. They then break the parks down into the three regions, North, South and Western. Read the release on Cedar Fair`s website here. I like it that they have decided to break the parks into regions. Also adding the word Entertainment to their title says to me that they look at them selves more than just Amusements. The partnership owns and operates 12 amusement parks, five outdoor water parks, one indoor water park and six hotels. Amusement parks in the company’s northern region include three in Ohio: Cedar Point, consistently voted “Best Amusement Park in the World†in Amusement Today polls; Kings Island; and Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom; as well as Canada’s Wonderland, near Toronto; Dorney Park, PA; Valleyfair, MN; and Michigan’s Adventure, MI. In the southern region are Kings Dominion, VA; Carowinds, NC; and Worlds of Fun, MO. Western parks in California include: Knott’s Berry Farm; Great America; and Bonfante Gardens, which is managed under contract. Also included in that region is Star Trek: The Experience, a Las Vegas-based interactive adventure. I don't know if this is new or not but there is no mention of Paramount in any of their names. This could be the date when the company reveals more about 2007 investments - and quite possibly even when we'll know their plans for the Paramount Parks.
