What is up??? Well the lap bars are up, but on further investigation I found that no one is in those seats. I'm sure someone will have a secure reason for your question.

As a safety rule, every lapbar SHOULD be down before a coaster is started, but, mechanically, most coasters have no interlock system to ensure that is the case. That's a modern PTC train, but there is no electronic system that monitors the lapbars on those trains (as there IS on many B and M's and on El Toro. . . )
