November 19, 200619 yr Looks as if Racer is getting some much needed work done during the off season. This is a photo that was captured from the WCPO Web cam. What do you all think?
November 19, 200619 yr Well, they typically retrack a couple sections of both The Racer and The Beast every off season as part of their annual maintenance program.
November 19, 200619 yr If we could just get them to face that camera a little to the right............
November 19, 200619 yr Correct, small portions of the two coasters are usually re-tracked over time. Although, for the 2006 season, The Beast received quite a bit more than it usually did. Almost the entire double helix was retracked and a lot of work done to the ride. The wood coaster maintenace team does a great job and I miss working with them.

That's good-it needed it-when the train is somewhat empty, that one is rough as Son. I thought Beast was much better after the retracking in the helix-that coaster is the best one I've ever seen still.
November 19, 200619 yr If we could just get them to face that camera a little to the right............ Foooo'real. Nothing like a little extra fuel for the fire.
November 19, 200619 yr Author Well, they typically retrack a couple sections of both The Racer and The Beast every off season as part of their annual maintenance program. Well I think Racer didn't get as much attention this last year cause of SOB. I felt Racer was a little rougher this year then in years past. It banged me around a little more then usual.
November 19, 200619 yr Yeah, it needs it...and it looks like they're working in a pretty rough spot. It'll be nice to ride it again next year.
November 19, 200619 yr Author Yeah on Backwards side too. I'm sure other area's will be done as well. Will Forwards get sections redone too?
