Thats a pretty sweet looking video! I love the little model they made.

I cant believe how far that thing swings away from the track! No wonder the shocks would go out so often.

Yea its on a vhs tape put out by rhino home video called America Screams. It was produced in 1990 (though the footage was from the 70's). I bought the tape from blockbuster probably 7 or 8 years ago. It talks a lot about the history of roller coasters and has some great footage of the screamin demon and the king kobra at dominion. http://www.amazon.com/America-Screams-Vari...s/dp/6301687639

This is a copy of the vhs for sale on amazon.

This is where that prototype video comes from. It has the mini-model, the full scale model, as well as a long interview with ARROW about the design of the suspended coaster.

The full size coaster in the video was not The Bat. I am not sure if it had a name or not. I forget which site had a nice video that was handed out to the media when The Bat opened. In the video you can see the cars do swing very far out from the track.
