According to the season pass hot line at 1-800-288-0808 Gold Passes are back. Everyone who buys a pass will receive free a upgrade to Gold. Now does this mean that everyone who purchased a pass in the Fall will also have a Gold Pass?

And what about those who bought the chain wide Maxx Passes.

I wonder, has that recording not been changed since last year, or is Cedar Fair actually running this chain "by the seat of their pants" Hey guys, this week, lets bring back Gold Passes!

I just called that number myself, it is very much a neew recording, it even references the Maxx Pass and MAxx Pass Plus.

Oh also 4 packs are back, at least in the KI only vareity. The phone message didn't explicitly say if the Maxx or Mass Plus include gold perks. I'd say they better throw them in, or they might have more than a few irate customers who have paid a premium for their passes.

Oh and look at the web fine print - they say a Cedar Fair Maxx Pass must be processed at the park of purhcase before use at other parks. Look closer they define processed as getting a photo ID card made. So much for the "new" photo-less IDs

They are advertising "4 pack" passes on their season pass page. This is new, isn't it??

Yes the recording is new, they talk about Max Passes and Max Pass Plus. Yes the four pack just came back this week. They will probably have Gold up soon.

So are we supposed to feel stupid for buying early, or does Cedar Fair intend to get more money from us now to upgrade to something else entirely?

I surely hope not. I did write KI an e-mail asking if everyone will receive gold, even for the people who bought last fall. I cant see why not, It's not like we have our actual 07 pass anyway.

Can anyone tell me what is included in the Gold Pass? I bought season passes for me and my husband for the 2007 season online, and Gold wasn't an option when I bought them. This may be a stupid question, but this is my first time as a season pass holder...

Looks like the Maxx and Maxx Plus passes bought through Kings Island also get the Gold benefits.

My question still remains, what about us who bought our passes in the fall?

It looks like if you buy any pass, its automatically Gold. I am going to assume this will apply to the early birds (like myself) too.

Wow. Finally some clarification about the parking and pass benefits. Sound like they are just repeating the same benefits as last year. That great we really like the speed lane perk.

I just got a call from PKI telling me our passes are now gold. It was a recording so I guess thats what everyone will hear. We bought maxx passes the day they started selling them.
