stewwill
Nothing wrong with looking more like Cedar Point, imo Cedar Point is much nicer looking as far as landscape and cleanliness goes than KI in the last decade, could we get a big lake to add to it I'm sure CF will do a much better job with landscaping then Paramounts, bring KI back to the beautiful park it used to be. Yeah, thanks for knocking Park Services and Landscaping and assuming we don't try our hardest to make the park look nice. Not to mention you just put the guys who re-decorated the water park (which looked like crap even BEFORE Paramount bought the parks), added the scenery on Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear and a few others, and decorated pretty much the entire park for FearFest to shame. But, then again, it's obvious that you don't come for the cleanliness of the park; you come for the Big Freakin' Massive Coasters of Awesomely Huge Bigness. Yes I love big coasters, but there is much more than that, one of my biggest complaints that I give of all parks is the lack non wild rides such as the antique cars and nice train rides in such I like a good variety so no I don't come just for the big coasters, example a is my recent thread on how I miss the old log flume rides. When KI was first opened, the mangement from Coney Island designed the park. Landscapping was VERY important. The Mall at CI was beautiful..they had a line of Japnese Ginko trees lining both sides of the mall. Those trees were moved to the Coney section of KI when it opened. Landscaping should be an important part of the theme park experience. KI when it first opened was beautiful. Beautiful trees, bushes and flowers were all over. I have been to CP and it was well maintained and looked nice. I hope they do the same for KI.
bear295
I fear K.I is becoming more like Cedar Point already; note the lack of trees around the new construction! Picture taken April 23rd, 2007: Taken the next weekend on April 29th, 2007 I am probably dead wrong, but I seem to recall that the area now sporting Firehawk used to be the landing pad for the helicopter ride. If I'm correct, there wouldn't have been any trees there to begin with due to clearance requirements for the pad. I'm not a gardener, but it would seem to me that if you wanted to add trees, shrubs, grass, or flowers you wouldn't want to do that until the construction was totally complete!!
