padfoot714
It would be silly for them to install both stations as well as queues leading to them both if they weren't going to use both sides all the time. Using just one side is such a waste. Plus seeing the track flip is just so cool!
FOFirehawkFAN
One thing Ive been wondering... This ride was designed to recline the seats on the lift hill to save time, but it was never used at GL. Then on the KI promotional video for Firehawk it showed the trains being reclined on the hill. Does anyone know why they don't do this? CoastersRZ
They had issues when they did this on Stealth when it originally opened in 2000. When that ride was relocated to Carowinds, they installed similar hardware as what can be found on Firehawk. (Originally, the trains were supposed to return to the upright position on the brake run as well). You can see the plates where this equipment was to be mounted on the brake run/ turn into the station of Firehawk.
JjAmSaOnN
I tried to ride Monday, they kept trying to get a 2nd train running, it kept breaking down. Also the new rain policy kept the ride from running in the evening, so I never got to ride it was too long of wait. I did notice that it kept breaking down in the 2nd station (closest to brake stop, stairway side). They kept alternating trains, yellow and red, either train seems to work fine in the 1st station, but the other station seems to have the problem the seat raising mechanism. At one point they moved all the riders from the broken loading dock to the other side behind the already filled que lines. Many people were ****ed that had been there waiting first to go after the pulled them back off the train. Then they just put them behind a bunch of people, I would be mad too. A few of them got out of line and started yelling at ride ops, LOL. Wow that would be great if they had the lowering/raising mechanism on the hill and stop brake! Too bad we won't see it at KI. I really have had very bad luck in trying to ride this, I hope they get it running more efficiently soon before I start hating KI like I did the last year of paramount ownership when I didn't buy a pass nor even visit

DropZone99
Yesterday i was at KI and it was raining for a while, Firehawk stayed open the whole time. I rode it it the rain, which didn't hurt but it sucked going up the lift hill when water is getting in your eyes.
Delirium33
Both times I walked by Firehawk today, they had both stations running, and the line seemed to be moving at a nice pace. I didn't ride it because I have already been on it and didn't want to wait in the pretty long line. I did notice that one time the left station ran twice in a row while people were just sitting in the upright position in the right station for a while. Didn't know what was up with that. Besides that, the capacity seems wayy better than it was with one train last Friday.
Ki Man
As of June 5th, there was dual station and trains running. Then the yellow train became inactive in the other station; running the red train as a one train op. WTF?!?!?!
tubaman
I hope they have it running smoothly come July 3rd. That is when my youth group is visiting. Anyone know what crowds will be like that day?
Ki Man
July 4th weekend will be horrible. Expect 2 hour lines for F/O, FoF, Firehawk. About 45 min - 1hour for mostly everything else.
