Dane
I picked my girlfriend up at around 11am. We cruised upto PKI witch is a 45 minute drive for us. Security is always fun for me, I always have a ton of photography things with me and they always have to go into the red dish. But hey! It's all for your and my safety. We hit Delirium first. Sparky (Aaron) was working so I chatted with him. It looked like a 2 or 3 cycle wait so it was great. But the second we got into the line, it broke down. We decided to leave and hit SOB. The new pads are still in great condition. This is where my girlfriend started the game. What game you ask? The Stapling Game ovcorse! The name says it all. You staple each other in the seat. Drop Zone had a good sized line so we skipped it and went to Face/Off. I don't ride it that much but it was fun. Than we rode, Adventure Express, raceR, and the Monster. I taught her how to spin the cars. She got quite queasy after riding that. FoF was after that, front seat ovcorse. Walked down the midway to Vortex, back seat. Snapped the Flyers. We took a break at Potato Works, the price wasn't that bad. Cheese sauce is kinda high. This is were I called Dan's house to find out if he was working. He was so I added talk to Dan on the list of things to do. She got a mixed ICEE. Kinda tasted like grape... Took the Pumpkin Patch Express around and ended up at the picnic grove where all the kiddy Fearfest things were set up. Nice decor adorned the area. Walked back to Dans workplace. He was on break, the cashier told me where to find him, but I didn't want to walk that far. (Sorry Dan!) FEARFEST 3PM I wanted to get a head start on it so we hurried up and got in line for House of Darkness early. After a 10 min wait we got in. Jamie (my girlfriend) was first in our group. Nevertheless I ended up in the front. House of Darkness was cool, dark and traditional. The electricution was pretty cool, aswell as the spark wall. Maze of Madness also had a short wait. I ticked off an actor because I kept going in circles around his area. He said, "You've gone the wrong way again!" And I replied, "Hey, it is a maze isn't it?" It wasn't very good but was fun, especially when I'm around. Curse of the Crypt was next. It had nothing to do with anything Egypt. There is a part in it where you have to crawl. I didn't find any need for it but it was padded well. I won't tell you the effect that's in it. Superstition was next. Saw two of my old friends there from Phantom Theater. They didn't have the teaser movie running for some reason. But did have a scene outside in the que. We rode the flyers again and ate dinner at the Rivertown La'Rosa's. Than went out to the car because it was getting cold and I had an extra coat. After security, we walked back to The Beast. It was 7:30 and we started to the Circus of Horrors 3-D. People were camping out for it already. We didn't want to wait that long so we walked around. BoddaH called and we met up. Cool guy with cool hair. After a chat we walked to Vortex. Vortex had just broken down right when we got to the entrance. Not even 2 minutes later, It opened up. We rode and BoddaH saw someone he knew... Walked back down the midway to Racer. It had a lot more airtime than usual. I thought at one time it came up off the tracks. Than SOB, this it were Jamie and I made a truce not to play the staple game again. All funny things must come to an end I guess. Jamie and I wanted to do the houses. This is where BoddaH released he lost his phone. (It wasn't a cheap phone either.) I called it the rest of the night. Walking past the houses we asked how long was the wait. Clown: 40 min Path: 2 1/2 - 4 hours Route 666: 4 hours! Right when we were about to just forget the Houses and just do rides. I ran into someone and received my Fearfest VIP Pass. It's pays off to have a website, and hook-ups. Well, we went to Route 666 first. The Supervisor snuck us into a car. After a conversation with him, we both came to the conclusion that Fearfest brought more people than expected. The Path was next. A group of VIP's when back there together. I have never been booed at before in my life. It wasn't that bad. I figured they were booing at the weatherman from a local news station infront of me. Somebody complained about the booing to an operator. A marketing woman calmed down the line. After all, she brought security with her. Went to the Circus of Horrors next. My group was all VIP's and women. Again I was in the front. Circus was probably the best. A close second was the path. Walking back to the House of Darkness, the monsters came out. Walking through the House of Darkness again, the electction scene broke. The attendant joked about it. We than decided to redo Maze again. It was certainly better than before. The had adjusted the lights and sounds. Althow some effect stopped working. It was 11PM now and we headed to the car. A great day that I will not soon forget.
