  1. No i think she rode it. I work at the park and was waiting outside oscars which is the employee cafeteria after she was done because it was the only way out of the backsage area so i was hoping to snap a quick pic with her and get an autograph, but those punk security gaurds told us that we werent allowed to be there when she came by. The funny thing is was that these were the same people that when Carmen was signing autographs were saying that no one was allowed on stage to get a picture with her, and she and her people kept on saying no no its ok, and then they got all embaressed. But before we were told to leave I heard her family talking with some of the park exececutives and Helbig was there and he was saying that he was there ride guy and would take them around but i dont know how they would have gotten her through the park without being mobbed.
  2. i was there! i got like within 5 feet of her i was happy. she seemed really cool and down to earth.
  3. I unfortunatly will be working at the park sat.
  4. All of these are located at the model in front of the park
  5. My guess is probabaly not... but we can hope POST 100!
  6. Mine was definatly the loss of the Flying Eagles. My mom used to make me take my little brother on that ride, and I would scare the crap out of him by whipping that thing in and out. Good Times
  7. I've had the same happen to me! Except it was with Rascal Flats. Right after the county line announcment over the PA system this man in a cowboy hat came racing towards me and said, "Did I hear Rascal Flats is perrrformin?". I told him that it wasn't in fact Rascal Flats but some of the parks entertainers singing songs by Rascal Flats. He hung his cowboy hatted head and walked off, probably one of the most sincerly disappointed guests I had encountered.
  8. Woah I never even noticed it was like that! No wonder my neck neck gets a beating there!
  9. Really? I'm trying to think, and I'm almost positive it was 2 years ago, but anyways, not a good experience Drop Zone kept breaking down and people were stuck up top for like 10 minutes.
  10. Labor Day weekend is a zoo! I went two years ago and the line for AE even was 45min! We walked over to showcase cinemas and saw a movie it was so ridiculous. That was on Sat. though, sundays are normally ok, but I don't know how they are on holiday weekends, I would think it would still be pretty managable.
  11. You think this webcam is entertaining, you should have been at the park today! I was working our companys photo stand down by the international showplace, and every 15 minutes we are supposed to go outside and hold this sign telling people to view their photos. Usually it's a drag and I hate doing it but watching all the progress in the construction site made it awesome. I would come out with a mind set of staying out there for 10 minutes with this sign and 30 minutes later I would finally brake free from my trance and look at my watch to see how much time had passed. It was awesome!
  12. I would and have waited upwards of 3 hours for rides on opening day, but otherwise its not really worth the wait unless it is like my first time riding something or I won't be visiting that park again for a long time. But if all the lines at KI are crowded I usually leave before I would wait 2 hours to ride Vortex.
  13. What is it that they are moving right now I can't tell! is it a piece of track or what? EDIT: Nevermind I don't think they are moving anything, the webcam just makes it look like there is motion going on
  14. It looks like they just put up the supports for the turn into the station today and yesterday. I'll see if I have some time to go in before my shift starts tomorrow so I can do another photo update.
  15. I don't mind it at all! I think its kind of funny how some people do get freaked out by the smaller rides, but yeah when it's just to annoy or to try and get a laugh its a little annoying. Screaming on the viking ship is part of the fun of the ride though! Didn't KI have an ad a couple years ago where it said something along the lines of being able to scream whenever you wanted?
  16. All this hype and advertising for Diamondback has some guest really confused. I've had quite a few ask where "that Diamondback ride" is, and how long the wait for it usually is. I just smile and reply "Well, part of it is over behind Firehawk, the rest is near The Beast, and so far I havn't seen it with a wait at all!" Soon after most give me a confused look and I then tell them that it isn't opening until April.
  17. They were moving around what appeared the supports for the track leading into the station, and the transfer area. I bet we see some of those supports go up soon.
  18. Here are some photos I snapped of the construction, today while at the park. Enjoy!
  19. They added the series of videos from the website to the DB display yesterday, they're displayed on a screen behind the model, and just loop through them all. They also added some posters with factoids on them a couple days ago hanging in the window.
  20. Yeah there is a big sign on the Eiffel Tower now that has the DB logo and says coming april 2009
  21. Yeah with the capacity of this ride I would be really suprised if the wait were more than 2 or 3 hours on opening day even. Cause thats what the wait was opening day when I rode Firehawk and it's ride capacity is terrible.
