Ki walk back question

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question, its been so long since I have been on-line. I'm the Water Park Facility Manager over at Great Wolf Lodge and yesterday I was stopped by a member of ACE wondering about a ki walk back, he heard it from a friend that it was sometime in the next two weeks. I myself havent heard about it since I am so busy over here and I did not see any info about a future pre-opening walk back this year. If there is when is it or was he just misinformed.

Thanks

Gary Bryant

I think he meant the morning Beast walkback, that I'm not sure of. Haven't heard anything about it.

Well keep us up to date on that, will ya.

I know they still do the ACE walk back to either The Beast if the old man is up to taking riders that early lol or to another ride or coaster.

There will be no ACE Winter SOAR "Tour" this year.

Or the ACE Beast Bash or anything else that Paramount (and Jeff and Maureen) used to do for us :(

Dont know about The Beast walk back in the morning, suspect we will be saying ba bye to that too.

A date for Beast Bash was offered, but Russ Johnson declined the dates because they were before Halloween Haunt. It simply wasn't fair for the Kings Island employees to be forced to work extra late when they closed at 1am anyway. Many of them had to be back in the morning. Due to the fact that most of the interest in Beast Bash came from the Halloween attractions, he chose not decline the dates offered. That's why there was no Beast Bash. It had nothing to do with Cedar Fair, Paramount, Maureen leaving, etc.

The walkback WILL continue this year. This year ALL accredited coaster clubs will be invited to join in on the walkback. Everyone in attendance must present a valid, up-to-date coaster club membership card and must sign in each morning.

Thanks for the 411 Ryan. Do you know what happened to ACE SOAR this year?

I'm glad to hear that for the walk back will continue and you have to sign in and show proof of club membership. I can't tell you how many times I've overheard people saying to others "they won't ask for proof anyway so you can come" in years past! Also cool GOCC and others are included too :P

ps-yes I know I did the "quote" thing wrong

February and March are very action packed months for Kings Island. Due to things such as interviews and job fairs taking up a lot of the space and time at Kings Island, it simply wasn't a viable option to host it at the park this year. Check your newsletter, they relocated it to another location.

Duh that's what I get for not checking ACEs events! Thanks for the info! Hubby and I will definitely be there. It is always a great time!

This sounds very interesting. When do these walkbacks happen, and where do you check in?

We'll announce the location of the walk back when we get that information. A person from the marketing department will be there with the sign in sheet. Remember that you must present an up-to-date membership card from an accredited coaster club in order to participate. The walk back will be to The Beast only.

Walk back to The Beast is perfect. Is this just on special days, or every day that the park is open?

And it is still open to guests of those members of coaster clubs...correct??????

I will get exact information as to what days the walkback will happen. I think it happens every day during the regular season, but I'm not a coaster club members so I've only participated a few times.

Everyone present will need to present an up-to-date membership card from an accredited coaster club and sign in in order to participate.
