It's 2012 and just under four more months until Kings Island opens its doors for its 40th season. Like last year's topic, each day I will try my best to post a "vintage" Kings Island photo from my massive collection of media I've gathered over the years through personal collections and online discoveries. Hello everyone, It's been awhile since I have been on KICentral, last year with the birth of my son and being swamped with school work for computer animation I didn't even visit KI once last year... Sad I know first time since I was 4 that I didn't go at least once and I'm looking forward to getting a pass and having some fun this year. Hope to see a lot of my old friends and meet some new on here this season!

I would like to see a "Walking Dead" type of haunt. that would be cool . And I agree with "bonks" about the school or camp type of attraction. Maybe even a classic monster mix haunted house.

I hope to ride it again as well. If not, I'd like to see another record breaker of some kind (and not one that gets owned by another coaster in the same year (DB vs. 305)) ... Ok. As promised. Last one, folks: (No sons of beasts were harmed in the making of any of these videos.)

Haunted Dinosaurs Alive....even though DA sucks this would be a good way to use it.

Great shots, thanks again for your efforts! With CP being my home park, I am extra-sensitive to the concept of removing vegetation and replacing it with concrete, or rides surrounded by concrete. I've watched my park turn into, what feels like, an airport runway over the last 30 years (by comparison). Having said that, no trees were removed here, and I too like the caricatures. So I think I'm with you on this one.

Oh how the park has changed for better and the worse. But really the park, needs better landscaping the tiques and the flying eagles need to return, in some shape or form. That was a true loss. Really the amount of rides removed has been huge, but others have came in to replace. KI needs to cater to the past while shaping to the future for riders, families, thrill seakers, non riders, and people that remember KI for the great landscaping, a truly great park all the way around......

After the maintenance train wreck that was WindSeeker, I think the last thing the park needs is an Intamin. Really, B&M's do wonders for parks. Diamondback was completed on time, drew massive crowds, is rarely down, and has overwhelmingly positive feedback. They and GCI make the best coasters in the industry, I believe.
