Weeds will replace it I imagine.
At least for a while.

Was heading to the park yesterday at 1pm with my wife and 17yr old son. When we got on I-71 at the South Lebanon exit (the exit just north of the Kings Island exit) traffic was VERY slow. As I slowly got to about 1 mile from the KI exit I realized that the right lane was at a standstill ALL THE WAY to the exit!! There was no opportunity to even squeeze in, so I drove on down to the "south KI exit". When we went by the KI parking lot, it looked like a Saturday in JULY!! We all said "No freaking way!!" and went to Sonder Brewing instead
I don't know why I expected a "regular" season pass preview day... No one in school, lots of people off work, beautiful weather.
Absolutely INSANE!!
We'll go back on a Sunday morning in a couple weeks...

As a Skyline employee at an actual restaurant, there are ways to teach speed. At the Clifton location, you either learn speed or not work there with the demand. Kings Island needs to take notes from the actual restaurants. The other busy ones to look to for advice on speed are Oakley, Dent and Newport. I think the problem they have just by my observation is that they try and do it assembly line style when they should have one person doing only coneys, one person only doing ways, etc.
The efficiency and speed at ALL of the restaurants and rides really annoys me to death! It has for all of Cedar Fair's ownership. You have to just come to the conclusion that they don't really "care" about efficiency and speed. You're in the park. They got your $$. Plus it's a bunch of dumb high school and college kids (with barely any supervision) running almost everything and they DEFINITELY don't care about speed or efficiency!

I don’t think there is a “need” for a second skyline. However current skyline needs a remodel in order to make it more efficient. The cashiers tend to take on more orders than the kitchen can handle. Factor in that Skyline is often customized ie: with or without beans, onions, and or mustard. It becomes easy for an order to be messed up and food be sent back. Which really bogs down the kitchen. They need to switch the current setup to something more of the lines of Enrique’s. Where you pick your options as you go then check out. That way the kitchen is being overrun by orders, and orders aren’t being sent back.
The digital kiosks they had for a year or two after COVID were GREAT!! SO strange (and inefficient) that they went back to humans taking your orders...

Rode Georgia Gold Rusher @ Six Flag Over Georgia (Atlanta) last weekend and it's a really FUN ride!!
It definitely needs to do one more pass through at full speed to make a 20sec longer ride though.
They didn't have the 2 clusters of seats spinning yet. I got to ride on the end though so it was great. They DID start the water effects later in the day (got up to 80°). They totally need to get more efficient at load and unload but it was only their 4th day of operation.
Kings Island should put one of these in the area behind Orion and make it space themed!! Wouldn't even need the water effect, but that could be a space capsule splash down I suppose.

Yep. It was in the back by the giant playing card house and sunshine turnpike.

I think it will either be a(nother) total revamp in the Boo Blasters building, or possibly a new dark ride in the Tomb Raider building.

plus one will probably have to pay a credit card surcharge for foreign transaction
Get a Bank of America card. NO foreign transaction fees!
There's lots of other cards that do this too.

Years ago (2017) when they still issued physical passes, you had to go to your "home park" as your FIRST visit of the year... That's not a thing anymore is it?

Imagine how much more incredible it would feel if it were a REAL giga as advertised.
Have you ridden Fury325?
Such a better drop and way more fun ride overall...

Has anyone dug around enough and found WHERE/HOW you get the ALL PARK add on for $65 as mentioned in this article?
"the company also will introduce an expanded All Park Passport membership add-on that gives Gold and Prestige Passholders and Members unlimited admission and parking to all 42 of the company’s amusement and water parks. It's now on sale at prices ranging from $65 to $125 depending on the Passholders’ Pass or Membership level and purchase location."

Almost same experience at Cedar Point Oct 11&12 of this year.
Lots of big major rides "not operating" or "broken down" at all times of the day which put INSANE stress on the lines of the 4 or so big rides that WERE running. Were talking 90min-2.5hr waits... Crazy...
Got stuck in line (at the bottom of the stairs) for a breakdown at Maverick. Toughed it out for 30-40min, finally got on and my train got stuck in the launch tunnel!! Then the ride was closed the rest of the day.
If all the major coasters would have been operating, I bet the longest lines would have been 45min to an hour. But either the lack of employees to run them(?), not wanting to spend the $$ running them(?), or them just being broken, made our 2 days there VERY disappointing.
I think we only rode about 7-8 rides (many of them flat rides) in the full 2 days we were there!

It was stated in many articles today that....
"The companies plan to leverage their licensed intellectual property in their parks, with Six Flags holding a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery for rights to characters from DC Comics and Looney Tunes, and Cedar Fair controlling rights to the Peanuts universe."

I don't know if I would ever go back to Kings Island if they started using DC IP.
Why would they NOT use DC?
They (now) own the rights to it!
They would be crazy not to use it.
Probably a reason they bought Six Flags!
Also,
I would MUCH rather have Looney Toons for the kids areas rather than the lame, boring, Charlie Brown crap that no kid even knows what the heck it even is.
One of the lamest things that Cedar Fair partnered with...

There is NEVER a such thing as a "merger" no matter what bull**** line of sunshine they blow at people. I've been at companies that have been bought and sold and supposedly "merged"... Someone is ALWAYS buying the other.
Cedar Fair has BOUGHT Six Flags. PERIOD.
New name (for whatever reason) is Six Flags.
Bloomberg website says Cedar Fair bought Six Flags for 1.9 billion.

Got the ALL PARK upgrade to our Kings Island passes for next year.
Should we do a trip to Dorney Park or Worlds of Fun?
Both are ~9hrs from Cincinnati.
Had platinum passes last in 2017 and did Carowinds, Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Knotts Berry Farm, and Canada's Wonderland. Definitely plan to do some of those again as well...

Went to Cedar Point last weekend for the first time since 2017 and was SO excited to get an Elephant Ear again back in the back western town area and they don't have them anymore!!

I'm still hoping for an RMC RAPTOR (single rail) coaster there. Like Jersey Devil, etc. Fun ride, nice compact layout, and a massive "line eater" since it never stops moving even in the station!! Super cool.
Anyone have any idea why Cedar Fair only has ONE rmc raptor in all their parks?? (California's Great America).
Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor To Close After 2025.

Went there for the first and only time in 2021. Middle of summer and not enough workers to run but about 2/3 of the rides in the park and only about 1/2 in the waterpark.
It was kind of run down as well.
Mind Eraser (prof screamore) was not a good ride. Firebird was ok. Superman was fun. Not much else there.
I can see Ragin' Cajun and the Harley Quinn frisbee/pendulum rides being relocated for sure because they were new(er).
