^ At first glance the first thing that I thought of was a sign as well. I also have been wondering how they will design the lead car, incorporating the front of a truck on it. Considering they're millennium flyer trains, I would think that with the way their usually designed where the front is usually flat, a protruding truck hood would look a little strange hanging over the track IMO. Idk, but I'm sure it'll look great anyway that they do it.

^ Precisely, I did it right after the long straight section going around the right turn immediately before the second tunnel. I'd venture as far as to say that The Beast really did attack me that night. Or did it retaliate at me attacking it with my hand, we may never know.

^ Interesting, maybe they just pulled it back for a little bit for something? But in regards to The Beast, I can attest to the whole Beast railing talk as I've touched the railing before (which was somewhat unwise but sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way). Didn't expect too much damage but it did take off a few layers of a small piece of skin. I was young and dumb as well, only 15. But now I'm a clearly more mature age of 16 lol

^ I think so and you can also spot the front fo one of DB trains on the storage track for the past week or so. Just thought I'd point it out.

Had my interview yesterday and got the job! I had the choice between, the Monster, Scrambler, and Dodgems as a crew, Backlot Stunt Coaster and Shake Rattle and Roll as another, and then WindSeeker and Vortex, and I chose the latter mainly because I surprisingly still enjoy Vortex and its the 30th anniversary for the ride! Super excited to start working there!!

Hopefully, the sign isn't the only thing they refurbish, Vortex has been pretty faded for as long as I can remember!

Ride Operations

I applied and have an interview scheduled for the 4th! To be entirely honest I'm actually really excited!

Definitely something I regret is not ever riding The Racer backward

But obviously, they won't force you to speak right? Like there would be someone else who would likely do it before I would wouldn't there be? That's not to say I wouldn't ever talk on the microphone though.

I only live ~20 minutes away and I'm 16 so I thought about applying but I'm not sure if I will enjoy working in rides. I'm obviously an enthusiast. I enjoy fast paced environments I think but I feel I'd be pretty awkward if I had to talk on the like speakers or whatever.

Nah, the color should definitely be black and blue... but I'm sure someone would get confused and think its white and gold then so I'm not too sure now...

^ we just joined GOCC and they have really good prices too, especially for multiple people if that's what you need. Hopefully we can make it this year but we'll have to wait until next week to get our coasterstock tickets... don't think they would sell out by then. Either way, I'm pretty excited! BTW, is there a way to check in after the early 6:30 am time and still just like catch up with the group or how does that work?

I'm pretty happy with the fact that they're trying to save as many trees as possible from what it looks like.

Thanks for the reply and I bet we will have a great time, and who doesn't love short ride lines! I let my older sister know and she said she's definitely going so I'm pretty excited to be able to go this year.

This sounds like a dumb question but I'm really considering going for the first time with my mom to the event as I've never gone and I'm actually part of this community. However, I'm only 15 (almost 16) so do you think it would still be fun for us?

I completely agree with this, I for one am very excited we're going to get a GCI. Im sure it'll be great at night and tbh it just looks fun. You don't need astounding heights or speed for that. I am one who usually sets expectations too high and this time I decided not to. I decided to be happy with whatever we got, and I am.
