  1. I actually like the idea of having a dive up where Invertigo is. It would probably take the removal of it and congo falls at least, but that area of the park desperately needs some love. Plus if positioned right, the dive element would be seen while walking into the park.
  2. I was thinking the same thing about this being a "best of" for B&M. I will admit the layout looked like a joke, but it's grown on me the last few days. Length I'm sure will be the thing it gets dinged for the most, but if it goes as long as Leviathan, the only difference between it and Fury time-wise is Fury's very last camel back. I think this is going to be one of the better looking roller coasters in the world. I imagine the 300 foot lift hill right next to the Shambhala helix standing over The Racer will be an iconic image of the park. I think the ride experience as we know it will be exciting, and if there's a surprise somewhere it could be legendary.
  3. Ride op on Flight of Fear yesterday righg before we launched: "who's ready to ride Polaris?". Which pretty much means Polaris is confirmed* *- to not be the name.
  4. Has anyone been by Clermont lately? Any updates there?
  5. Yeah... that helix does look extremely similar, thanks for finding that. Something like that sitting next to a 300 foot lift hill is going to look bad ass, at the very least.
  6. Who knows? It'll have been 6 years since B&M did their last launch. Have we seen anything yet that would totally rule it out?
  7. The helix in the leaked plan does look pretty interesting. Is there any way to tell whether it's upward or downward? It crosses paths with the track that comes after the first drop, I assume it's passing over the top at that point which could provide a near miss opportunity on the drop. Or if it's passing under a near miss coming out of the helix. Also, does anyone know of a similar shaped helix on another coaster? It's not quite the traditional perfect circle with an entrance and an exit, but more like a spiral that's getting tighter as you move through it, gradually increasing your positive g's. I assume given how short this looks there will even be a decent amount of speed left. Might even be complimented well with some air time right before it.
  8. Basically if you aint first, you're last.
  9. I get that the layout appears uninspiring, I do. But Leviathan was named 8th best steel coaster in the world at the Golden Ticket awards this past year, which ranks right in front of Maverick and Diamondback. There's really a lot we don't know about this yet.
  10. Just keeping it around for Excavator 285 most likely.
  11. I think most of us are right there with you.
  12. Anyone swinging by the fence?
  13. If the leaked document was really a hoax, and there's new work being done, then Don better be at the top of ET waiting for the first arrivals just to say gotcha.
  14. I agree. This thing, no matter the height/length will be unique (every giga has been so far) and provide an experience you'll only find at KI. There will be something about it that will make it stand out. When is the last time Cedar Fair put out a dud?
  15. I rode it for the first time last year, then Fury a couple days later. As has been mentioned, the 20 foot height difference really doesn't make a difference once you're over 300 feet. I liked I305 just as much as Fury, which I know isn't a popular opinion. To be honest, with Diamondback already at KI, I think I305 would be a better fit anyway. Just one man's opinion though, and I think the majority would disagree.
  16. Maybe partially indoors too?
  17. The first drop is guaranteed to let you down every time!
  18. Unfortunately, I think you're looking at the wrong angle. Imagine the 40 degree line extending straight out, alongside the lift hill.
  19. I think I remember this discussion from the Diamondback construction thread!
  20. It could be a hack, but aside from that, I just don't see it. There are surely marketing folk who know of a roller coaster that is huge and in X-base. Accounting folk who know what money has been spent where. Who would have an exact diagram like that though? Why would they risk their career just to post that?
  21. That's what I'm saying though.
  22. But if they lied about one thing, could they have lied about the other?
  23. It just doesn't make sense. The number of people who have a map like that has to be very small, and those people would be very high up within Cedar Fair or B&M. Unless it was a hack, but supposedly the person said they signed an NDA. But the timing of it coming out though...
  24. Why would someone (and there must be a very small handful of someones at this point) violate an NDA just to spoil a roller coaster here?
  25. If nothing else, it certainly appears all elements will be taken at high speed, even if the ride itself doesn't last too long.
