Anyone know when we started to see fury track show up?
-
Nothing better then watching a Banshee POV and scrolling through the comments to see a certain individual post at least 10 comments on why Banshee is the worst rollercoaster ever built and why it should have been an RMC.
-
Thanks for making my day @IndyGuy4KI there’s just so much to look forward too this season!
-
I don’t know if this is an element per say but I’d really hope for there to be some Terrain interaction.
-
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question but the all season Fast Lane plus does also work during haunt right? (I’m not talking about fright lane). I was just curious since regular season passes end during haunt.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dispatch.com/news/20180322/columbus-metro-area-now-bigger-than-that-of-cleveland-and-gaining-on-cincinnati/1%3ftemplate=ampart According to this article Columbus recently passed Cleveland. You’re counting the Cleveland’s statistical area then it’s bigger but by metropolitan area Columbus appears to be bigger.

I think the reason it won’t be a dive or wing is because it’s easier to market a type of rollercoaster they haven’t recently built compared to marking 2 dive coasters within 4 years. Compared to Mill force which was built 19 years, a giga would be easier to market since it hasn’t been recently built. Ohio’s largest metropolitan area (Columbus) is a shared market and it needs to be taken into account when marketing the new attraction. It’s easier to market a coaster type that hasn’t been built in a while compared to 2 rollercoasters of the same model.

The ride it’s self is themed to a run away ski lift while the Alp folklore creature is completely different and has nothing to do with with the Alp mountains to which Alpengeist is clearly themed to. I don’t know why we really need to debate wether or not the name is ok when it was just a thought I had.
-
Alp is actually a German folklore creature, not at all related to the alp mountains.
-
I don’t really have any names to fit with the X-Base theme but I do have a few ideas of folklore names they could maybe use. Wendigo Alp Basilisks Jinn

Night ride on most of the major rollercoasters Go to the water park for once and ride the drop slides Do one of the paid attractions That’s about it, not as creative as you, I can’t wait for this season to kick off!
-
There were footings on opening day? Didn’t know that, I’m definitely having a lot of anticipation for preview night.
-
As long as it doesn’t violate any contracts you signed with the park then it should be fine, someone earlier in the thread still works for KI currently posted a comment. The more the better imo!
-
At least they really take safety really seriously. I’d assume there as strict now a days?
-
At least test seats are more common now a days to prevent that from happening.
-
Definitely seems like a satisfying job! Thanks for keeping the park beautiful.

Ask a former KI guest service associate anything

If you don’t mind sharing what was your response to that question? -
I mean marketing is going to be able to make up dozens of records like they always do but at the end of day do people really care about some of the “records”. In terms of the big 3 records out there (Height, Speed & length) I doubt it’ll break any of those, I’m sure there’s going to be records it’ll break (I already mentioned it’d probably break the North American records) but who really cares about a lot of these records? You can spin almost any coaster to break some records, you could theoretically say Banshee broke the records for “First invert with vest restraints, Only B&M invert with no pre-drop”. Records for the most part are just for marketing.
-
Because they don’t always break records? Banshee for example wasn’t the fastest or tallest invert when it opened. And plus giga records are somewhat hard to beat. To be the tallest giga it’d have to be 368 ft and to be the longest giga coaster it’d need to be the longest coaster in the world. I wouldn’t be surprised if it broke the US giga height record.

I’m talking about the level of theming for copperhead strike and Mystic Timbers, I’m not at all imply Disney level theming. Also I thought my season long Fast Lane was $500 each but the website says it’s now $550, maybe the prices increased?
-
The way I see it is that if you’re investing 30-40 million dollars in a ride you might as well add theming. It’s not incredibly expensive when compared to the cost of the ride. I’d rather see theming even if it meant the ride was shorter.

GLOCKENSPIEL TO RETURN FOR Kings Island’S 2019 SEASON
Benjamin22 replied to nhimes90's topic in Kings Island
Kind of funny you say that considering Paramount maintained the clocks but I get your point. Although I do wonder if it’s the new CEO or the relatively new GM who is mostly responsible for these recent renovations. -

Pretty cool, nice work! -
Might want to add Drop Tower, Wind seeker, white water rapids ect.
-
Maybe I should have told my self that when I added Fast Lane to my platinum passes.
